The vibrant interior was painted by a Disneyland artist who helped create The Enchanted Tiki Room, bringing that same playful magic to every wall. A rare and sentimental art collection inspired by the Hawaiian Islands and Bora Bora fills the space, alongside a precious shell collection and open rafter ceilings lined with a surfboard and paddleboard collection, displayed as art and to be admired, not used. The large oceanfront deck is your front row seat to the Pacific, with dining and lounge seating directly on the beach deck. Grab an Adirondack chair and plant yourself right in the sand if you prefer. A selection of beach toys and gear is available for guests, including items such as boogie boards, a surfboard, hula hoops, and more, subject to availability. Silver Strand Beach is quiet, uncrowded, and feels like your own private playground, with a lifeguard stand right out front for peace of mind and great surfing!. The Hula Hut is hosted by homeowner Brenda and co-hosted for many years by Joanie, also a local homeowner in Hollywood Beach. Together they have poured love into preserving this irreplaceable piece of California coastal history for generations to come. Guest access Guests have full access to the entire bungalow, private front courtyard, and large oceanfront deck. Please note: the driveway accommodates 2 smaller vehicles only. Street parking is otherwise available, however guests are responsible for checking posted parking restrictions to avoid a citation. Other things to note Channel Islands Harbor is just steps away, offering dinner cruises, jet ski rentals, surfing lessons, farmers markets, and fantastic local dining. A short 15 minute drive brings you to the charming town of Ventura, with wonderful restaurants and eclectic shops. Santa Barbara, known as the American Riviera, and the tranquil town of Ojai are both just 30 minutes away. An hour north takes you to the wine country of Santa Ynez, Los Olivos, or the beloved Danish village of Solvang. Heading south, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, and Magic Mountain are all approximately one hour away. Disneyland is roughly two hours. The Hula Hut truly sits at the center of some of Southern California's greatest adventures.
