The stone-and-timber lodge is a cozy sanctuary in the shadow of the Tetons, with a welcoming fireplace, a separate media room for curling up in front of a favorite movie and, of course, Wi-Fi, so you’re never far from friends. In warmer weather, heat up the barbecue, gather at the outdoor dining area on the stone terrace and watch the stars come out from the Adirondack chairs or the hot tub. Kids will love toasting marshmallows in the outdoor fireplace. Rough-cut timber, barn doors and a stone fireplace surround play off soft upholstery, graphic area rugs and playful floor lamps for a mountain lodge look with a modern twist. The great room at Fish Creek Lodge 2 soars thirty feet high and is flooded with light—and views—from the floor-to-ceiling window. Though the villa’s setting feels secluded, it’s not isolated. In the summer, ride the nearby Jackson Hole bike path into downtown Jackson or all the way to Grand Teton National Park; in the winter, there’s a complimentary ski shuttle to transport you to the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. For an entirely different mode of transportation, try a paragliding session from a nearby hillside into the meadows near the villa. Test your skill on the landscapes of the two nearby golf courses, soak in a natural pool at Granite Hot Springs or visit the relatively untamed nature of Yellowstone National Park.
