Cottage in Wilmington
Description
This is a recently renovated rustic 1947 cottage with an outstanding view of and access to the Intracoastal Waterway. It is perfect for meditation or quiet time by the water's edge, or for fishing, art, reading, writing, kayaking or paddleboarding. It is close to Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach, Topsail Island and Hampstead where there is shopping, restaurants, outdoor and cultural activities and beautiful beaches. It's old, but it is full of charm! The space This is a cozy cottage with a BIG view of the Intracoastal Waterway. Wake up to dolphins swimming by or stay up for the Moonrise over the water. This home offers peace and tranquility, but is just a short drive to all that Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach has to offer -- restaurants, shopping, nightlife and beaches along the Atlantic Ocean. The cottage has two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and there is a modern bathroom with shower. It has a small kitchen and nice living spaces. We offer free wi-fi and a smart TV to our guests. There are books to read, puzzles to put together and cards to play. Be sure to bring a fishing rod, kayak or canoe! Guest access This is a small single-family cottage and guests have access to the whole home. Laundry facilities are available to those planning for long-term stays only. Guests are welcome to throw a fishing line in to catch a flounder or other fish from the dock. Swimming is not recommended as there are oyster beds in the area. The dock can also be used for launching paddle boards and/or kayaks. Kayaks are available for use by our guests upon request. We keep our own boat at the dock and in warm months, will be using the boat but will do our very best so as not to disturb our guests. Other things to note Please park in designated parking area on the left side of the driveway only. Do not block driveway as it is a shared driveway. Park on the left side of the driveway only. This cottage is not suitable for children under the age of 8. It has a high deck and is waterfront. It also has soft pine floors and is not suitable for crawling infants. In addition, there is possible lead paint underneath other layers of paint. We love children, but I don’t recommend this home for young children. There is an information sheet posted on the refrigerator door that tells our guests everything they need to know including wifi information and where the trash cans are located outside. Please no tampons or other feminine products in the toilet as we are on a septic system. Also, use of hair dye or hair dye or bleach products is prohibited inside the house. These products cause stains that can not be removed and you wouldn't believe how many women want to color their hair while on vacation! *** Pet Policy *** No Pets are allowed. The floors are soft pine and their nails damage them. We love our little four-legged friends but our floor doesn't. So sorry!
