The Great View Room in Tudor Home near I95 and 58
Friendly for travel nurses, ODU, physical therapy students doing their practical experience, Brunswick Power Plant, and other term workers in the area!!! Near I-95 and Downtown Emporia. Lovely Tudor Style House from 1934. This is a great place to enjoy when traveling around Emporia., Also, it is an ideal place for working people who need a place for the long term, especially workers in the medical field or students doing practicum experience near the area. This is a unique house, with lots of character. We call it the "Gingerbread house" or "The Doll House". According to the previous owners, the model was ordered from a Sears Roebuck Catalog in 1934. I have been searching for the catalog of that year but I have not had any luck finding it. In the past, the house was used for tourists to come and visit the house. This listing is for rent one of the bedrooms of the house. The house has a total of 3 bedrooms and One and a half shared bathroom. During your stay, you might share the common areas of the house with me or another guest/s. In the living room, we have a piano and tv with cable channels. The kitchen is fully equipped. The breakfast nook is an area you can use for fast meals. If you want to have a special dinner, feel free to use the formal dining room (remember to clean after finished, :-)). Near the kitchen, there is a laundry area. You can feel free to use the washer and dryer at your best convenience. Also, we have a beautiful deck, sunroom, and gazebo you can enjoy. The house is surrounded by trees which makes the back yard look like a secluded area. There is plenty of parking space in front and the side of the house. The house is within walking distance to the 7Eleven and a Dollar General. Also, there is a police building near to the house, which makes us feel safe and comfortable in the area. My husband Marcos is the person in charge of taking care of the cleaning of the common areas and the rest of the property. I usually do the decorations and communication with our guests. Marcos is a wonderful pianist, and when there is time, we play and sing with our guests. We love to create memories with our guests and hopefully making new friends. Because this is our lovely home, we work hard and personally try our best to make sure each guest has a pleasant experience while staying with us. During your stay, my husband Marcos, and I may come to the house to make sure everything is all right. In walking distance, you have a Seven-Eleven and a Dollar General. Emporia has unique and wonderful stores around. One of my favorites places is The Peanut Factory in Skippers. Other favorite places to eat in Emporia: Mexican Restaurant El Ranchero, Home Plate Dinner, and Logan's Dinner. Please, be careful driving in Emporia. You need to follow the speed limits while visiting us. The Bright Room is located on the second floor of the house, you must climb stairs to get to the room. The house entrance has three steps to climb to get into the house. There is a train track near the house that comes several times at night. There is a potential for noise.
