Relax with the whole family on this working farm nestled in the bends of the Mooi River. Experience the peace of the meandering Mooi River, nature, livestock and overlook the quiet bustle of an active farmyard. Unfortunately due to ongoing biosecurity measures access to the dairy and cattle areas will not be allowed. The cottage is self catering, and close to Mooi River town for supplies or takeaways. There is 4km of rough dirt road to access the farm (high clearance vehicles recommended) The space The cottage is kid friendly, dog friendly, and family friendly. Classic character with wooden floors and a big verranda The main bedroom has a queen size bed The second bedroom has two single beds The entrance way has a ¾ size daybed It's perfect for kids or snuggly adults! We will set it up as a bed for 5 guests or for <4 by request, otherwise it is a daybed seat by default There is one bathroom with a separate toilet, shower and a basin Guest access The cottage is a stand alone house in the farm yard alongside the main house. Guests are unfortunately no longer welcome to explore the dairy and cow pastures due to biosecurity measures. Please close gates behind you that you found closed. Other things to note The dirt road is a farm road, and is rough. When it is wet it can get quite rutted and slippery. However it is always entirely drivable although small cars are not recommended. If you are uncertain please reach out and we can see if we can make an alternative plan, or direct you through the back route. In the case of power outages we run a generator at set times you can plan your day of cooking, charging devices and showering around: 0515h- 0800h 1415h -1630h 1800h - 1930h Water is pumped from 2 boreholes on the farm and is run to the houses on a pressure pump. You may experience water shortages during a power outage or if there has been a leak on the farm or a burst pipe. 5l Emergency water is always available
