Elysium on Valentia Island is in a quiet and peaceful location. The wild cliffs along the northern shores of Valentia Island, a short walk reveals the majestic Skellig Islands, boat trips to and around them can be arranged in the seaside village of Portmagee 3kms away. A 4 bedroom holiday home for a staycation to remember on the Wild Atlantic Way, under the Dark Sky Reserve and the Atlantic Ocean to the front and the Portmagee Channel and Kerry Mountains as your view from the gravel garden. The space This is a generously sized country home on scenic Valentia Island. Elysium offers great panoramic views across the island with Valentia Channel and the high Kerry Mountains viewed from the gravel garden. It is surrounded by meadows and fields and is situated with its garage on a large site. There are only a few houses and farms in the neighbourhood all in reasonable distance to provide guests with absolute privacy. Due to its size with four bedrooms and four bathrooms this holiday home is an ideal choice for a large family or for couples or friends travelling together. A small porch leads to a very large hall , the staircase brings you up to the 1st floor. On the mezzanine, you will find a seating area with sea views towards Dingle Bay. On the ground floor are the living room with 3 comfortable sofas, a solid fuel stove, dining area and kitchen are open-plan and very spacious. The living room and the dining area are separated by a kitchen bar and this design supports the transparent and friendly character of the house. These rooms command large panoramic windows. A patio door leads into the garden with scenic views of the island and the sea. The kitchen is furnished with modern kitchen units and generously equipped to provide everything that is needed to enjoy your stay. There is a separate utility room with washing machine, dryer and box freezer. ELYSIUM offers three bedrooms on ground floor level, each has built in wardrobes and they all are furnished with comfortable double beds. Each of these bedrooms offer an en-suite with shower and toilet. In addition there is a family bathroom with large corner bath and toilet. The 1st floor comprises the already mentioned gallery mezzanine area with sofa and a very large bedroom with a double bed, a single bed and a cot bed for a baby or infant should it be required. Guest access A spacious and comfortable holiday home with large gardens, decking area, gravel garden, patio and an outdoor firepit for use if the weather permits. A scenic and quiet location with both sea and mountain views and the amazing skies at night under the Dark Sky Reserve. Open plan hall with seating areas on both the ground and first floor mezzanine. The entire house is for guests apart from one small room which is used for storage. A well-appointed kitchen with all mod cons including a Tassimo coffee machine, a large dining area for 8 persons as well as a breakfast bar for two. A utility room with washing machine dryer and box freezer for guests convenience. Oil-fired central heating, a wood-burning stove in the family lounge, radio, smart tv, wifi and a dedicated office space to work while away from the office. Books, games, outdoor toys, fishing gear, baby sling for hiking, car seat for baby, sterilizer for bottles are all available to use. Other things to note Wifi, heating, electricity, linens, towels, laundry are all included in your fee along with a basic starter kit. Rubbish should be left in the bags provided in the bins outside on the patio area. Bottles can be recycled at the recycling centre at Portmagee car park.
