Tucked into a lush East County hillside, Bettie Blue is our charming vintage trailer—cozy, colorful, and packed with retro personality. She sits right next to her sister trailer, Darling Daisy, so you may have neighbors during your stay. Inside, Bettie offers about 150 sq ft of snug, stylish living with: A super-comfy walk-around Queen bed (sleeps 2) A convertible dinette that becomes a compact twin bed (1 small adult or 2 small kids) A fully stocked kitchenette with coffee maker (pods & grounds), microwave, toaster oven, and essentials Ice-cold A/C, high-speed Wi-Fi, TV with Firestick, DVD player, and stereo Bathroom with a toilet and a VERY SMALL/SHORT SHOWER and provided toiletries Ceiling height inside the trailer is 6'4", so taller guests should keep this in mind We provide RV-safe toilet paper, bath towels, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, and a starter set of paper towels, tea, and coffee pods. Guests staying more than 5 days will need to restock paper goods and basic items—Albertsons is just a few minutes away. (For stays 28+ days, the cleaning fee is doubled.) Outside, enjoy your own private patio with hillside views, a propane firepit, and a charcoal BBQ (guests must bring their own charcoal). It’s the perfect spot to unwind, grill dinner, or roast marshmallows under the stars. Larger vehicles or trucks may not fit and may require street parking. Please use only your assigned space and yard area to avoid disturbing nearby guests. Guest access The property is meticulously maintained, and the interior is professionally cleaned, disinfected, and sanitized and checked before each guest. We provide a welcome book for you which should answer most of your other questions. Check-in and check-out are simple; an email will be sent a few days before your arrival with detailed instructions. Unfortunately, due to high demand, turnover, and our standard of cleanliness, we are unable to provide late check-out. The trailer is located off a quiet street with quick freeway access. We are located on a private road and offer a designated parking spot directly next to the trailer and ample street parking for any additional vehicles. There is a smart lock on the trailer, and we will send you all the entry codes and detailed instructions in the check-in email. We are a 25-minute drive from San Diego International Airport and Sea World, 25 minutes from Downtown San Diego, and the San Diego Zoo. Other things to note Perfect for extended family and friends This private property includes two RVs and a tiny home, all spaced apart for comfort and privacy. The owners live in a separate residence onsite, and you may occasionally see them during your stay. On the same property, we offer three unique rentals: Darling Daisy — A retro-style camper next to Bettie that sleeps 4, combining vintage charm with modern amenities. Bettie — Your rental (this listing). Birdie’s Bungalow — A romantic, charming tiny home located up the hill, perfect for couples and sleeps 2. Please note that other guests may be staying in these units during your visit. We also offer two additional rentals in Ocean Beach: Green Door Cottage by the Sea — A cozy, dog-friendly 1-bedroom home that sleeps up to 4. Guests may use the outdoor area located directly outside the RV they’ve booked. The outdoor spaces belonging to the private residence are not available for guest use. For stays over 7 days, we provide a starter kit only of paper towels, trash bags, linens, and coffee/tea. Albertsons grocery store is just 5 minutes away for additional supplies once you run out.
