The '49 House on Bullion Street was built in 1949 is located in a perfect downtown location of Mariposa. This a private home with three (3) private bedrooms for you and your guests only. There are no additional fees. All are complimentary. This house let's you experience some of the nostalgia that makes Mariposa such a great place to stay. The house is cozy with original wood floors, doors and hardware with modern amenities that guests need for a great and comfortable stay. The space Space: Single story home with three (3) bedrooms, one (1) bath, livingroom, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, with one (1) open porch and one (1) enclosed porch. Check-in: Self check-in with a convenient easy to use keypad. Parking: Super convenient. We have front parking (2 vehicles) a long private driveway (3 vehicles) which should accommodate you and all your guests. The House: Central Heat and Air Conditioning, high powered Wi-Fi for those working while vacationing, Smart Tv, filtered water and ice always available. Fully equipped kitchen. Living room with a laptop space, laundry room and dining room. Each bedroom is private. Two entertainment porches. One of them is screened in for night entertainment. Bedrooms: Three (3) private bedrooms. Each bedroom has a queen size memory foam bed, fresh linens, night stands with USB chargers, overhead and free standing fans, full length mirror, and luggage stands. Bathroom: One (1) full bath with tub and shower. Each quest is provided with their own set of robes, slippers, bath towels, hand towels, wash clothes, bath mat. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispenser included in the shower. The bathroom also is equipped with a hair dryer, as well as toilet and tissue paper and extra towels. Kitchen: Although we expect that our quests will take full advantage of all the restaurants in the area, we do provide a fully equipped and stocked kitchen, with refrigerator/freezer that provides filtered ice and water, stove, oven, dishwasher, disposal, microwave, toaster oven, and coffee maker. Coffee amenities are provided with local coffee, tea, cocoa for the kids, as well as creamers and sugar. Living Area: The living area has two couches with individual reclining seats, SmartTV that is connected to Wifi, computer station with USB chargers and high powered connect Wi-Fi. Various games and puzzles for kids and adults are also available. We even provide a guitar for those that are musically inclined. TV trays are available for those that want to enjoy dinner while watching a movie. We have a portable CA fireplace that can be moved from the living room to the screened in porch. Most don't and use the other heater. During summer everyone wants to sit unders the fans. They are fabulous. I am too old but remember spraying off with the hose and drinking hose water. We have two if you were the same. Water comes from ice water off the spring melt. Porches: The house has two porches. WiFi works in both areas. The front porch is part of the entry and a great place to have coffee in the morning and maybe see deer or turkeys walking down the street. The side porch is screened in and is a great place to relax in the evening to avoid the biting critters. For added comfort, the CA fireplace can be moved to the porch. We also have a portable heater. Also another great place to see the deer or turkeys in the side yard. Laundry Room: The laundry room is equipped with a washer, dryer, ironing board and iron (front closet). We provide complimentary laundry pods and dryer sheets. Cleaning: We are still adhering to the Airbnb Covid-19 checklist although we did this prior to COVID. We just like everything to be sanitized with a little bit of dust to get the Mariposa vibes. We do a no contact guest policy during your stay, unless you request us. Kid friendly: We really do try to be super kid friendly. Especially for the parents. We expect you to have a great time too. But please remember that you are in the mountains and even on the property, there are hills that little ones like to tumble down. We do have safety locks for the doors, pack-n-play, portable highchair (great for when you want to have your meal in the living room or porch), kid friendly dishes and silverware, and of course some games and toys. For the bath we have a protective bath mat and "whale spout " that keeps little heads from bruises. We also have outlet covers and nightlights throughout the home as well as provide a special light for the little ones that are a little older. Pet friendly: Contact us and let us know. We allow up to two pets at no charge. Additional pets are $25 per pet per stay. Per Airbnb policy, never leave any pet unattended in the house. Valuables: We have a safe for those that bring valuables and law enforcement that are required to carry your safety weapon even on vacation are always welcome. Guest access This is a private home and is not shared. Guests have access to the entire property with parking available in front of the house as well as a private driveway. There is also a picnic area by the grapes and a front and side yard. Guests have access up to five (5) vehicles parked comfortably. Other things to note The '49 House was built in 1949, and the elevation of Mariposa is 1,949 feet. It is perfectly located to many areas we feel our guests want within walking distance. Grocery, gas stations, restaurants, transportation to Yosemite; and of course, the other specialty shops in the area. We do not interact with you at anytime unless you request it. You are on vacation and we understand that.
