The cottage is just 3 miles from the Charlotte - Essex Ferry, as well as being just 50 minutes east of Lake Placid N.Y. & about 50 minutes west of Burlington, VT. Pick your day trip and you will find that you are well situated to enjoy a wide variety of fun things to do in both NY & VT. If you bring your passport along, a day trip to Olde Montreal and the famous Atwater Market could be a highlight to your visit. Of course, you could just as easily work from the house (if need be) with our high speed wifi. Other things to note "Beau Overlook Cottage" recently had a new HEAT PUMP SYTEM / CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM installed. The state of the art temperature control system will provide fully regulated central air conditioning, humidity control and heat throughout the year. This town is not just about its logistics ~ this area is a haven for some of the most talented & hardworking young organic farmers to be found anywhere. Just down the road is the well known “ESSEX FARM” where Mark & Kristen Kimball host several farm to table suppers through-out the summer months.
