Garden suite Tucked discreetly behind the main house, this garden-level guest suite offers a peaceful retreat with architectural character and a genuine connection to the outdoors. Hardwood floors run through the living room and bedroom, while radiant heating provides steady warmth throughout San Francisco's cool, fog-laced days. Curated decor and custom stone details give the suite a grounded, intimate feel - quiet without being sparse. French doors open onto a patio area within the shared, fully fenced backyard, where garden views frame your time indoors and out. It's a space designed for slow mornings and easy evenings. Sleeping arrangements The bedroom features a queen bed positioned for comfort alongside garden views, with a spacious wardrobe for longer stays. The living room offers a queen sleeper sofa as an additional sleeping option, accommodating up to three guests in total. Please note that the bathroom is accessed through the bedroom, so guests using the sleeper sofa will pass through to reach it. Bathroom The spa-inspired bathroom is finished with limestone floors and includes both a bathtub and a walk-in shower. Radiant heat continues here, making mornings especially comfortable during the cooler months. Bathroom essentials are provided for your stay. Kitchenette & dining The kitchenette is set up for simple meals and unhurried mornings. A refrigerator, freezer, microwave, hot water kettle, drip coffee maker, and toaster are all on hand, along with cooking basics, dishes, silverware, and wine glasses. Coffee is provided. The dining table works equally well for casual meals or a remote work session. Entertainment & connectivity Stay connected with both Wifi and an Ethernet connection. In the evenings, settle in with the 50-inch TV featuring Netflix and Apple TV, or browse the selection of books and reading material for something slower-paced. Outdoor space Guests have access to a shared patio and a shared backyard that is fully fenced, complete with sun loungers and garden views. Even in cooler months, the greenery stays present - a calming backdrop to quiet outdoor moments. Location Set in Noe Valley, the suite sits within a calm, residential pocket that stays well connected to the city. The J Church Muni stop is one block away, and 24th Street BART is a short walk. Restaurants, cafes, and shops along Church Street, 24th Street, Mission Street, and Valencia are easily accessible, as are the Mission District and the Castro. Civic Center destinations including the Opera House and Symphony Hall are around 20 minutes away by car or public transit. Good to know The suite has a private entrance with self check-in via keypad. Free street parking is available nearby. A Pack 'n play / travel crib is always at the listing, making the space suitable for adults traveling with babies. Please be aware that steep garden steps and a winding staircase make the property unsuitable for older children. Guest access During your stay, you’ll enjoy exclusive access to a private one-bedroom garden apartment located beneath the hosts’ main home. The space includes: • A thoughtfully equipped kitchenette with a hot plate, microwave, convection oven, sink, and refrigerator • A full bathroom with both a soaking tub and walk-in shower • A separate bedroom with a comfortable queen bed and storage • A cozy living room with a queen-size sleeper sofa and TV—ideal for relaxing or accommodating additional guests You’ll also have shared access to the beautifully landscaped backyard, a peaceful outdoor space perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or unwinding after a day of exploring the city. Other things to note Please note there is no full stove in the unit. The kitchenette includes a cooktop, microwave, convection oven, refrigerator, and essentials for light meal prep. We live in the main home above and do our best to remain quiet and respect your privacy. We’re nearby if you need anything and always happy to help. Laundry is available for guests staying 7 nights or longer—just check with us to coordinate a time. For shorter stays or added convenience, Bubble Up Laundry is located just two blocks away at 1364 Church Street, open daily from 7 AM–10 PM (but check online before heading over). The apartment is accessed via a slightly steep 6-foot driveway. You’ll enter through the garage and then use the private side door entrance to the garden apartment behind. Please do not park in, near or along the red-painted curb directly outside the driveway, as it is a red zone and may result in a ticket.
