This charming 1907 brick home blends historic character with cozy, modern comfort. Located just steps from City Park and minutes from downtown, Norway House places you right in the heart of Denver. Cook in the chef’s kitchen, relax on the plush couch, or unwind with your favorite shows on the 75" TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, ESPN+, and Paramount+. Welcome to Norway House—I hope you love your stay. The space THE HOUSE: My home was built in 1907 and still maintains much of its original charm. The kitchen has been renovated with professional appliances, and the open layout creates an easy flow from the garden to the kitchen, living room, and front porch—making it a wonderful space to relax and spend time together. The bedrooms are on the smaller side but very comfortable. The primary bedroom features a king-size bed with a brand-new Layla mattress set to soft (but it can be flipped to firm if you prefer). The second bedroom has a queen bed with another very comfortable mattress. The house includes fast Wi-Fi and a 75" TV loaded typically with Netflix, ESPN+, Paramount+, and Amazon Prime Video. There’s also a Blu-ray player with a collection of DVDs if you’re feeling a little old school. The Sony sound bar provides excellent sound, and you can easily connect via Bluetooth to play music. The home has central heat and air conditioning and is powered by solar energy. The backyard is a lovely place to relax, especially during summer evenings when the outdoor string lights are on. The front porch is perfect for morning coffee or a cold drink in the evening. On Sunday afternoons in the summer, you can even hear music drifting over from Jazz in the Park, just steps away in City Park. If you enjoy cooking, you’ll love the kitchen. The six-burner Bluestar stove and commercial-grade appliances make it easy to play gourmet chef. You’ll find plenty of cookware as well as spices in the cupboard and condiments in the refrigerator for your use. One small note: the stainless steel island you see in the photos is actually a commercial refrigerator with an outlet underneath. Because it can be a bit loud, I’ve also added a second refrigerator in the mudroom just outside the kitchen. THE LOCATION: Staying in City Park means immediate access to some of Denver’s best attractions. Within the park itself you’ll find: • Denver Museum of Nature & Science (with IMAX) • Denver Zoo • 14 lighted tennis courts • an 18-hole golf course • Jazz in the Park summer concerts Just two blocks away on Colfax Avenue you’ll find some great local spots including Bluebird Theater, Atomic Cowboy, Fat Sully’s, Denver Biscuit Company, Stella’s for brunch or happy hour, and Hooked on Colfax (a fantastic neighborhood coffee shop). Sprouts grocery store and Endorphin Gym are also nearby. PS Lounge is a classic dive bar that hasn’t changed since 1981. Downtown Denver is only about 3 miles away, where you’ll find Coors Field, Ball Arena, the Convention Center, Elitch Gardens, museums, and countless restaurants and music venues. If you want to explore beyond the city, I-70 is just 2.5 miles away, giving you easy access to Red Rocks (30 minutes), hiking in Golden (25 minutes), and day trips to Boulder (40 minutes). Denver International Airport is also a quick 20–30 minute drive when it’s time to head home.
