As longtime AirBnB users, we are happy to now be hosts! Our home is a charming, quiet 2 bedroom/1 Bath located in the heart of bustling Hawthorne, Belmont and Division neighborhoods. Walk or bike in any direction to some of the best restaurants, food carts, coffee shops and breweries Portland has to offer. Under 2 miles from the center of downtown (and Voodoo Donuts). City of Portland short-term rental permit number available upon request (AirBnB won't allow us to display it) The space The house is a half of a side-by-side duplex but feels like you are alone on the street as it borders a church parking lot on the other side and has a private backyard. The light in the morning comes into the second of two bedrooms and in the evening floods the living room with a warm glow. The kitchen is open and has great flow for a small space. Laundry is located in the basement and is available for guest use. There is a a dedicated workspace and we have fast 500 Mbps wifi to get some work done or enjoy streaming entertainment. All areas of home are private and accessible, except the garage. If you have bikes, you can bring them in the gated side yard. There is access at the front of house next to front door. I have a combo lock on the gate that accesses the yard and can give the code for that if requested. Buckman neighborhood, as it's called, is ground zero for the Bohemian lifestyle that Portland has come to be known for. There is no more centrally located place to get to know all this city has to offer. There are great coffee shops and bakeries a few blocks away to get your day started and some of Portland's best restaurants, food carts and breweries walking distance! A 24 hour convenience store is a 2 minute walk away. The list of walkable destinations is long and growing monthly but to cover more distance we recommend the corner self-serve bike rental station a few blocks away called BikeTown. There are "pods" all over the city to return bikes to, so one-way travel is an option, and you pay per trip or for a full day pass. (URL HIDDEN) Portland is hailed as the friendliest biking town in America, so if you have ever wanted to try city biking, this is the place! For public transit, the Hawthorne bus stop (#17) is 2 blocks away, and the Belmont bus stop (#15) is 3 blocks away. (URL HIDDEN) for more info.... There are many ride share options a click-away. With our central locations you never have to wait more than a few minutes for a Lyft or Uber, day or night. Driveway is a bit too small to park in without blocking some the sidewalk, but it's great shortterm for loading/unloading. Street parking is free and abundant throughout the neighborhood, including directly in front of house. There is an outside patio and private yard to enjoy the warm summer weather in between your wanderings around the city. Guest access Everything but the garage. Other things to note We have a lot of working-remote guests, especially since COVID began and upgraded out internet to handle the demands of video meetings.
