Perfect for couples, families, business trips, etc. (No parties/events). Location is west of Stillwater near the Karsten Creek Golf Club and Lake Carl Blackwell. The listed price is for two guests ($15 per extra guest). All games (except the Claw Machine) are set to free play. Message ahead if bringing pets! One thing is for sure: We AirBnB differently! This AirBnB adventure started out in the summer of 2018 as a way to help my friends and family raise funds to buy a much-needed central air conditioning unit and fix up the old house that we grew up in. Originally, we just rented out one bedroom with access to some vintage arcade machines. Since then, however, the adventure (and our family home) has evolved into so much more. We can’t even express in words how grateful we are for all the guests that have stopped by and how excited we are to share this experience with future guests and friends for many more years to come. To see the latest projects, renovations, and additions to the house, follow us on one of our social media outlets. Our unique arcade room is more than just another "man-cave." It's an "everybody-cave" because there is something fun for everyone. From racing games to shooting games (to sports games and classics), we've got it covered. There is even a massive “Dave & Busters”-style basketball machine to practice shooting hoops on. Despite being jam-packed with 11 full-sized arcade machines, the room maintains an open and spacious arrangement. But wait there's more..... Above the fireplace, there is a projection screen showcasing a jaw-dropping 92" high definition display. At the back of the room, the projector is connected to an Xbox One-S with access to tons of games and tv/movie apps. And the arcade room coffee table is a 32" touchscreen board game machine. What is not to love about this amazing set-up? In addition to the arcade, there is a pool table room, workout room, kitchen, dining room, and living room. Various arcade machines are sprinkled throughout the house. Outside the house, there are two separate patio areas (one with a 10’ outdoor patio table), multiple picnic tables, an inflatable movie screen, and a charcoal “park-style” grill. Additionally, there is a brand new 1200-square-foot deck attached to the second story of the house, numerous outdoor games (cornhole, ladder ball, giant Connect Four, shuffleboard, and even a miniature 6-hole frisbee golf course. Each night, hundreds of Edison-style light bulbs kick on right before dusk creating an awesome backyard resort. We would love to have your family and/or group of friends stay with us but please understand do not accept bookings for events. Our home is available for renting strictly as a short-term rental for friends and families. BEDROOMS AND FULL-BATHROOMS (Located Upstairs): *Please note that we only open up all four bedrooms for groups of 8+. Bedroom #4, which has two queen beds and accommodates 1-4 guests, is always set up first, and then a combination of the other rooms may be used to accommodate the rest of the party. If guests have a specific secondary room that they want access to, they can always request to have that room available when booking. BEDROOM 1: Large room with a king-sized bed and a private sink/vanity. The room has a mounted 32" TV with access to local channels. This room has a door to the upstairs deck. (Sleeps 2) BEDROOM 2: Medium room with a queen bed. The room has a mounted 32" TV with access to local channels. (Sleeps 2) BEDROOM 3: Medium room with a triple bunk bed and a futon. The walls of the room are decorated with numerous hanging guitars. Guests will even find amp sitting in the corner if they have an urge to plug in one of the guitars and play. (Sleeps 4) *If we can ever get our hands on one of those Guitar Hero Arcade machines, you can bet we would find a way to get it upstairs and situated into Bedroom #3.* BEDROOM 4: Extra-large room with a pair of matching queen beds. The room has a mounted 55" tv with access to local channels. Additionally, the room also has two brand new sit-down (head-to-head) cocktail arcade cabinets with 20 different classic games to play (including a head-to-head Street Fighter...which is super cool). This was the original master bedroom and has an attached full bathroom and a sliding door to the upstairs deck. (Sleeps 4) Guests access includes upstairs bedrooms (1-4 rooms available depending on size of the group) and two full bathrooms. The downstairs area includes the kitchen, dining room, living room, billiards room, laundry room (please message ahead if needed because we are often running linens from one booking to the next), arcade room, workout room, half-bathroom, and backyard patios/grilling areas. We can be reached easily via text or AirBnB messenger if you need any assistance. We will have everything set up and ready for you (along with having all of the arcade machines turned on) so that you can self check in. Neighborhood is a quiet and friendly place. Perfect for relaxing or getting out and going for a walk or run. A ten minute walk will get you to the east side of Lake Carl Blackwell. While the neighborhood is technically located outside of town, it’s just a short three minute drive to the nearest Wal-Mart, bar or restaurant. Parking is easy in the neighborhood. Guests can either drive to town or use Uber. (1) We expect all guests to RESPECT the arcade room and the machines in our personal collection. Children should be supervised when playing in the arcade. For safety reasons, it is important to NOT crawl between or behind machines where the electric plugs are and NOT to climb or sit on the machines. Guests should also understand that occasionally a machine may need to be repaired. This can happen abruptly, therefore we cannot guarantee that every machine pictured in the Airbnb listing will be in working order for every booking. However, when a machine repair is needed, we place an "out-of-order" sign on the machine and act as fast as possible to purchase the necessary parts or send off parts for repair. (2) All the regular machines are set to free play, however, prize machines like the claw machine can not be set to free-play mode. We will add a few credits (or leave a few quarters on the machine for your group) prior to check-in so you can try your luck at taking home a collectible without having to bring any quarters with you. We expect that guests will respect the machine and will not try to shake or cheat the machine to get something out of it. (3) Guests can use the laundry room, as well as detergents, fabric softeners, etc. However, we ask that if it is possible, let us know prior to check-in that the laundry room will be needed. On many occasions, we are running linens between bookings. When we know that the laundry room is needed, we will try and make sure the room is empty and ready for guests to use. (4) We are installing a new park-style charcoal grill this summer (2023). We typically don’t have extra charcoal on hand, so feel free to bring some with you if you plan on using the grill. And, if you use the grill, please clean the grill before checking out. (5) Pets are generally welcome at the house, but PLEASE message ahead to set up arrangements for paying a pet fee. $25 per pet per weekend (or 2-3 day booking) and $50 per pet per week. (6) During the months of September and October (and possibly early November) the house will be decorated for Halloween. We have several life-sized animatronics and an automated haunted house set up in the back patio. Following the Halloween season, we will have the house set up for Christmas from November through January. (7) Security cameras are placed outside the house near the front and back doors to ensure the safety of our property and our Airbnb guests. (8) We do not allow guests to book our house to throw a house party. That type of booking is not even allowed by Airbnb. Guests are expected to book the listing for the total number of people in the house, regardless of whether every guest is staying the night at the house or not. Therefore, when a reservation is made for five people, we expect that there will not be more than five people in the house at any point during your reservation. (9) Quiet hours are from 9pm-8am. Feel free to continue enjoying the backyard and deck (and all the exterior lighting) during the quiet hours, but we ask that you be respectful of our neighbors and limit the volume to noise that doesn’t travel outside the property lines.
