Dogwood Cabin on Scenic Wooded Mossbridge Farm

Our two cabins Dogwood and Holly are located on a quiet, wooded 10 acre retreat that is 8 miles from Athens. Our special feature is a spring fed creek that flows year round and has it's own micro climate that is perfect for native ferns, mixed hardwood forest and dogwoods. We have provided a nature trail for bird watching and exercise. Recently we designed and constructed a beautiful pond with three waterfalls and a deck overhanging the water with chairs for enjoying our private paradise. The space This cabin has a king sized bed and a small kitchen with a small refrigerator, bar sink, microwave and a two burner gas stove but no oven. Pets are welcome but please know that we have two toy miniature schnauzers that like to greet our guests with enthusiasm and are free to roam. My wife wanted a pond for our 30th Anniversary, so we designed and created the Falls of Mossbridge. There is a cantilevered deck where our guests may sit to admire the view and listen to the sounds of falling water. Although the cabin would be crowded, we have two comfortable folding cots that are available for use, in case parents want to bring to young ones. We will provide coffee and tea and there is a charcoal grill, also if the conditions are favorable we will allow a small bonfire for enjoyment. Our drinking water is from a 600 feet deep water well into the Carrizo-Wilcox Aquifer. You will not find better tasting water than ours. Finally, if you have a camper (no hook-ups) or boat trailer we have lots of room to park it while you explore Athens. Guest access Guests will have access to all 10 acres, however, the hosts residence, the metal building, the second cabin are off limits unless invited. Other things to note Our cabin kitchen has a two burner gas stove but does not have an oven. If we are home during your stay and you need an oven to bake something, then we will be happy for you to use it.
