Enjoy some of the best mountain biking and hiking Maine has to offer right out your back door with this fantastically located home. Or simply relax on the deck or go for a long, leisurely walk along the Carrabassett River. The house is located at the end of the Narrow Gauge providing access to miles single track and backcountry riding or just rolling along along the Carrabassett River 7 miles to the CV Town pool or Tufulio's Restaurant and Bar. We use this house as a family get-away so it's all set-up for you to do the same. Plenty of space, views of Sugarloaf, tons of afternoon sunlight and a great space to share a meal with family and friends. We are accepting dogs with an additional cleaning fee. However we don’t allow dogs on the furniture so please bring a dog bed and or a crate for their comfort. A lockbox located on the back deck gives you access to the mudroom and the house. Across from our house is the historic Bigelow Train Station - the terminus rail station for the Bigelow Narrow Gauge. We're surrounded by 8 other 'camps' and the train station. Walk to your right and you'll pass a few homes and then jump right onto the Narrow Gauge. Seven miles to the north is the town of Stratton and gateway to Flagstaff Lake region. The Sugarloaf shuttle is on-call for Bigelow Station. Typically 10-15 minute wait for a quick lift up to the mountain. Tipping the drivers (fresh pastries work :) ) is recommended.
