Casa Lilia - 2 room apartment in a peaceful street

One of 3 (top floor), 2 bedroom apartment in the village of Monchique. 25min drive from quieter beaches in the West and busier ones in the South. If you're looking to avoid the Touristy busy-ness, Monchique is idyllic. Picture white houses that tumble down the hills, small but steep streets. Monchique boasts of some amazing walking trails, natural sprint Spa, genuine great produce on the food and drink front and an amazing sense of community. The space So you have 2 bedrooms both with air conditioning. Living room is quite cosy and has a 42” tv which has a chrome cast (so you can stream from your phone or tablet to the tv) and cable channels. Living room also with air conditioning. Sofa is pretty comfortable and the open kitchen has a table to dine that you can extend by lifting the flap and make it a comfortable table for 6 (use deadbolt under the table). It’s an unusual but very comfortable space. We’ve built it ourselves with the help of people who made sure the finishes were right. All bedroom furniture, kitchen shelves, table and rest of shelving throughout the house was handmade by us with some beautiful Portuguese Pine and Australian Acacia. The village was built in the Roman times which means the streets are very narrow, some not suitable for vehicles.
