The space Thank you for your interest in our green built daylight basement apartment. It was a joy creating a fun space for our Airbnb guests and I hope you'll enjoy your stay. A private breezeway leads into your sustainably built studio in our family’s daylight basement. This clean, thoughtful and creative space includes AC (earth friendly coolant), radiant heat floors over Italian porcelain plank tile, an inviting and locally crafted kitchenette with sink made from recycled steel, a large bathroom w/ antique soaking tub, new queen bed with therapeutic mattress (fresh mattress cover for every guest) and enough pillows to keep you comfy, down duvet and quality bedding. You will enjoy free high speed internet and a Smart TV where you can watch your Hulu, Netflix or Amazon Prime. We also have a Blue-ray player and DVDs. Many guests enjoy taking walks from the studio through the amazing Manito Park to gourmet eateries such as Spokane's favorite neighborhood Rockwood Bakery famous for their boho interior, lattes, quiche and baked goods. We accept well behaved dogs, please add your dog(s) to your booking so we can prepare for our furry guest. Thank you! The studio apartment is in a quiet residential neighborhood just 5 minutes to downtown, 3 blocks to Manito Park (90 acres of beautiful park) and Duncan Gardens, a few blocks to urban hiking/mountain biking, a short walk to Comstock's Public Pool & Park, 15 min. drive to airport, near plenty of neighborhood restaurants. Locally crafted kitchenette offers basic stainless steel appliances including: small electric cook top, toaster, coffee maker, tea kettle, compact fridge, microwave, basic dishes, pots, pans and cutlery. Walking distance to eateries, parks, the city's best mountain biking and urban hiking. Other things to note This is a daylight basement apartment in a family home, although we do our best to respect your need for quiet, the studio is below our living room and sounds from our active children or calm dog can be heard at times. To help, I provide a fan and a white noise sound machine. Stepping into and out of a deep claw foot tub as well as walking up/down 2 steps are required in this unit. You will find organic coffee and tea to get you started in the morning. If you chose not to cook there are plenty of great breakfasts places nearby. Shower is in the claw foot tub so you’ll have less head room than in a standard walk in shower. The bonus is that you get a creative space with a unique extra large clawfoot soaking tub. We now have exterior cameras to monitor the exterior of our home.
