Spacious one bedroom, one bathroom, self-contained 600ft² (56m²) suite with separate entrance at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in the Strawberry Vale area of Victoria. Fully equipped kitchen. Laundry room access. Cable TV and WiFi. Ample free parking on the road. 3 minute drive to Victoria General Hospital. 6 minute drive to Camosun College Interurban Campus. Easy access to downtown Victoria via Highway No. 1. Three minute walk to bus stop for direct bus to downtown Victoria. The space 625 Sq.ft self-contained suite. One bedroom with queen-sized bed and closet. We can also supply a twin-sized fold-away bed/cot to accommodate a third guest if requested. Three-piece bathroom with towels. Dining area. 55" flat-screen TV with cable. Wireless internet but no telephone. Shared laundry with private access. Parking on the road. We will supply the suite with some tea and coffee but please prepare and enjoy all your own meals in the fully equipped kitchen that includes a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, kettle, and coffee maker. There is also a Take a Book, Leave a Book Library as well as a Blue Box for recycling for paper, glass, and metal, and hard plastic. Note: Tap water in Victoria is 100% safe to drink. Please consider using tap water for drinking rather than bottled water to help reduce recycling waste. Guest access Access to the suite is on a paver stone path in the front yard around to the right side of house and through a latched gate. There are two steps into the suite as shown in the photos. There are motion-sensor spotlights outside the suite door and at the corner of the house. The backyard of the property past the suite door is not for guests. There is a shared laundry area with a washer, dryer, and laundry soap that is available for guests with a minimum seven-night stay to use one day per week. Access days and times to the laundry area will be co-ordinated with guests and their schedules. We are very flexible to make this as convenient as possible for our guests. Other things to note This is our home, not a hotel. We would be happy to have you stay in our suite but some House Rules apply and we expect all guests to respect them. Please read through all of our House Rules, including everything listed under 'Additional Rules". Please indicate that our House Rules have been read, understood, and are accepted when making a reservation request, including a reply to the special request that is listed under "Additional Rules." 😄 As a result of some uncomfortable hosting experiences for us in the past, we like to know a little bit about our guests in the reservations we accept, especially from those guests who haven't yet received any reviews through Airbnb. When sending an inquiry or reservation request, please let us know a little something about yourself such as: where you are from, what you do, what brings you to Victoria and our suite. Anything you'd be willing to share to help us be comfortable with accepting your reservation would be most appreciated. Thank you for your understanding! If you will have a car while you're here, parking for guests is just across the street on the cul-de-sac but please do not park in front of our next-door neighbour's property. The sofa is not a pull-out bed. We have a fold-away, twin-size cot that we can provide but only for short-term reservations with three guests. We will provide extra bedding for the cot as well as additional bathroom linens for the additional guest. There are no pets that live on the property. However, there are dogs and cats that live in other houses on the street that are sometimes outside on their own. We have a 14-year-old son who does all the things a boy his age does. His bedroom is directly above the suite's bedroom. You will hear footsteps and maybe some piano practicing. Also, we are both professional classical musicians so you may occasionally hear us practicing but we will be considerate and do our practice only during daytime hours. We have never had any guests say that it is disturbing for them in the suite. In the unlikely event an accident of any sort should happen, the hosts are not liable for any injury guests incur while in the suite or on our property.
