Please be aware that we are a rustic retreat and have no televisions but we do have free Wi-Fi for all our guests. Our double queen lodge room is located inside one of the largest log lodge buildings in the west. It’s a grand rustic lodge with impressive lobby with large views in all directions. Each room contains a full private bath, desk and chairs. The space We are a classic, rustic, rural mountain property. We have 36 guest rooms in our main lodge and a dozen cabins with various sleeping arrangements. We are sitting on 80 acres of private property about 7 miles from Estes Park at 9000 feet. We have indescribable views, it is very quiet here. It is entirely likely you will see wildlife, and you don’t have to leave the property to hike, bike, run or commune with nature. The lodge consists of a main building with 28 double queen rooms, 6 single king rooms, 5 queen Hostel rooms and 1 family/group cabin. The lodge is set up to give you the feel of serenity and simplicity in Colorado, without really having to rough it. The lodge is only a short drive to Estes Park and Allenspark, which offers numerous shops, restaurants, and much more. This escape really offers the peace and quiet you are craving in a Colorado experience. The core staff lives on property and is available to share the rich history this property has experienced. With so much to do and see outdoors we have chosen to not have televisions in the rooms, Cell Phone Service can be challenging this far up in the mountains, so our land line telephones are available for you to use for domestic calls free of charge. #WEARERUSTIC. We offer panoramic breath-taking views from anywhere on our 81 plus acres of private land, situated 9200 feet above sea level. Keep your eyes open as Elk, Deer and the occasional Moose are frequent visitors! Due to the frequency of wildlife sightings and the safety our guests we do not allow pets of any kind. For those looking for a more physically challenging adventure we have multiple trails originating from our property for hikers, bike enthusiasts and runners. There is a community mini fridge, microwave, and hot tea available in the lobby. For those who need a little more space for their snacks, we do have some mini fridges available to rent on a first come, first serve basis. We do not offer meal service at the lodge, but you will have many options from high end steakhouses to quick grab and go within a 15-minute drive. (And a delicious, cool little breakfast spot in Allenspark which the locals LOVE!) The best part about this lodge is its location! From here you have ultimate access to some of the best hiking and majestic views in America! You're also just a short drive away from Rocky Mountain National Park. There's always something new to explore! Surrounded by stunning mountain ranges, Estes Park is a non-pretentious Colorado town offering simple culture and year-round activities such as fly fishing, hiking, biking, foraging and wildflower hunting. In the winter, Estes Park is close to great cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowboarding. Additionally, Eldora Ski Resort is about 1 hour away from Estes Park and offers many winter activities! During our Summer season we are host to the Lazy B Chuckwagon Dinner Show. This is a wholesome, family friendly show with great food and offers a nice opportunity to make friends with some locals and visitors alike. Guest of the Lodge receive a $10 discount when purchasing tickets with proof of lodging. The show runs early June through late September. Doors open at 5pm, dinner starts at 5:30pm and the ends around 8:15pm. If Authentic BBQ, live music, great humor, and fun for all ages is your jam - Come and see the Lazy B Chuckwagon dinner show! The Historic Elkhorn Stables are also in residence and guests of the Lodge receive a $5 discount on all horseback rides. Amy and the wranglers are very conscious to ensure that riders from novice to expert have a great time and see some incredible scenery.
