Nkwichi Lodge, a halcyon paradise hidden on the pristine Mozambican shores of Lake Malawi. Self-catering accommodation is now available in our five beautiful chalets, each offering complete privacy. More than a lodge, Nkwichi is a complete experience offering a unique taste of Africa with exquisite lakeside scenery and unparalleled tranquillity. Set on 4 km of Rift Valley coastline, Nkwichi is the perfect setting to discover a lost world; a fresh-water oasis and an Africa untouched. The space Tucked away in the treeline, each chalet is unique. All individually designed and built using local materials to blend in to their surroundings, they deliver absolute luxury in a natural setting. - Complete privacy and intimacy - Hand-crafted furniture, including 4-poster beds - Rock-pool baths carved out of primordial boulder - Mesmerising vistas of the lake We have a private beach with shaded areas, a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker and fridge available. Filtered lake water is also available. We provide a chef to cook for you (food and drinks are brought by yourself) as well as staff to keep your chalet clean and make up the beds. Our staff are also available for advice and recommendations throughout the day. The price is per chalet per night, for either single or double occupancy. Each additional person per chalet is charged at $30, please get in touch should you require additional beds. Children under 3 years are free. You can make use of our complimentary babysitting services. Free activities include excellent snorkelling, kayaking, paddle boarding and relaxing by the beach, as well as plenty of beautiful walks within the area. Additionally, you can hire our boat (including a boatman) on an hourly basis for motorised activities such as watching the sun set on the lake or visiting nearby villages. You will be free to access our beach and the Manda Wilderness Conservation Area that surrounds us. You have a private chalet and bathroom. The main kitchen and dining area are shared. We can set up a private dinner spot on request, too. We are in a remote area so there are no other people around and you have the chance to relax and unwind in a truly remote and beautiful space.
