Beachfront guest suite w/private bath. "Seafish"
Description
Three purpose built guest rooms downstairs from my home. They share a veranda with two hammocks for each room. Seafish is the middle room. We are located on a lovely beach with shady palms - in the Garifuna fishing village of Hopkins. Hopkins is a village that gives you access to kayaking, snorkeling, diving the barrier reef, jungle treks, and Mayan ruins. Open your room door. Step right out onto the beach. Step into the Caribbean sea. The space My place is great for single travellers or couples, and the sea view is amazing! "Seafish" is a small rustic beach room (a 135sqft/12.5m2 bedroom, a bathroom and a seaview veranda). It's made from local woods, in Belizean style, and built right on the sand in front of the ocean. It has a fridge, a coffee pot, plates and cutlery. No kitchen. The bathroom consists of a shower stall with hot water, a sink and a toilet. Seafish is the middle room of three. Towels and beach towels are provided, as are some reading materials and an information folder on the area. Windows front and back of the room are great for ventilation. The windows, a floor fan and the sea breeze are what cool this room. Guest access Guests have access to to the beach, and beach chairs, which are right in front of the room, and are shared areas. Two private hammocks on the veranda. The veranda is shared with 2 other rooms. And there is also a garden seating area behind the rooms, with fruit trees and orchids. Other things to note 9% Belize government tax will be collected upon check-in. We are Gold Standard Certified. This means we are complying with the sanitizing and cleaning protocols mandated by the government of Belize. The Belize Tourism Board requires every host to register the primary guests home address and nationality. Licenced to offer accommodation in Belize since 1998. Licence: HOT00632 I built in Belizean style with products that where available to me more than 25 years ago. I have chosen to keep my guest rooms in that same style. If you are looking for modern this would not be the place for you. But if you are looking to stay somewhere that really makes you feel like you have visited somewhere different for your vacation then I think this will work for you. I do not consider my wooden guest rooms suitable for children, better suited are my more modern listings of the apartments. For the majority of my guests we are an international destination. Because of the advanced planning, and the cost, you should consider purchasing travel insurance that can cover you for a wide range of situations. I am happy to have guests stay for Christmas, but please ask first about check-ins or check-outs on Dec 25th or 26th.
