Cabin-like Retreat in Puyallup
Brambles Cabin Studio feels like a mountain getaway, with stone "fireplace," log furniture, and woodsy accents. Enjoy your morning coffee on the outdoor deck overlooking the cottage garden or grab a book and settle into the hammock. Queen bed. Although our home is in a neighborhood, it has a country feel. Protected from street view and noise, our large backyard is a great place to enjoy beautiful sunsets, great bird-watching, frog choruses in spring, bunny and duck sightings in summer, access to State Fair Events all year, and free off-street parking. The "Cabin" is on the ground floor, with an outdoor deck, including table, chairs, and shade umbrella. Accommodates 2 people. Entry faces garden (not street). Unit includes TV monitor with DVD player, set in a stone "fireplace." Guests are welcome to borrow from our DVD library. There is no cable/broadcast TV, but there is a dedicated WiFi connection for our guests with unlimited streaming. Guests may roam the garden and enjoy privacy in a number of settings, but our house is our retreat. Only paying guests are allowed access to the room and the grounds. Since guests do not stay in our house, our interaction may be limited to check-in and check-out, but spontaneous conversations under the grape arbor or around a bonfire are always welcome, too! Your choice!! We will be present each evening and morning during your stay. We live in a residential area one mile from downtown Puyallup. The Washington State Fair and Events Center, city parks, tennis courts, library, wetlands trail, and Sparks Athletic Stadium are a short walk away, and the Farmer's Market provides local produce and crafts from April to October. Bus transportation to surrounding areas. Park 'n' Ride lots within two miles. Sounder Train to Seattle or Tacoma ( .4 mile, 8 minute walk to bus stop for train station shuttle bus)
