Other things to note It is best to bring your spending money with you to Rote, it can be hard to arrange money or even change money on the island. For short stays, consider flying from kupang to rote to make sure you make the most of you stay on rote, ferries do run from kupang to rote, however it depends on the wind/weather conditions.
