This home is close to the Mohonk Mountain House, Lake Minnewaska State Park, Peter's Kill and the New Paltz Rail Trail. The home features a fenced-in back yard, back deck, skylights, an organic garden, multiple flower gardens, fire pit, barbecue grill, outdoor sink and hammock. Our home is furnished with clean and simple modern decor with a subtle rustic twist. There is a front yard and back yard with seasonal flowers and vegetables all free for picking. This sleeping space allows for a maximum occupancy of 5 individuals and 2 pets. No exceptions. Though there are 5 beds, please note that this is a small house and better suited for 4 individuals with approximately 850 square feet indoors. Though the space is small, it is clean, modern and cozy. The water tank is small, which means that hot water is used quickly for laundry, dishes and showers. Please allow 25 minutes for the water tank to reheat in between showers to ensure that you have hot water. Guests can have 4 cars maximum in the driveway. There is no street parking available and parking on the lawn is not permitted. The hosts leave a large silver trailer parked in the driveway. Bedroom 1: has a king size bed with a memory foam mattress. There is a private full size bathroom with a shower in this bedroom. Bedroom 2: Please note the following: this bedroom has two beds. It is a vaulted room with ladder access to a loft. A full size bed with a memory foam mattress is located underneath a bunk, on ground level. A twin size bed with a memory foam mattress is located in the top bunk. You must climb a ladder to access the top bunk. Bedroom 3: Please note the following: this bedroom has two beds. It is a vaulted room with ladder access to a loft. A twin size bed with a memory foam mattress is located underneath a bunk, on ground level. A children's size bed is located in the top bunk. You must climb a ladder to access the top bunk. The top bunk in this room is suitable for a child or a small teen only, not for a full size adult. The kitchen is stocked with lots of food and snacks, so please help yourself. There is also a pet drawer stocked with doggie treats, a leash, organic soap and misc supplies. This is a pet friendly home and the back yard is completely fenced in. Please do not leave pet poop on the ground. Pick it up, place into a plastic bag and then deposit into the outside garbage. Garbage and recycling containers are located in the driveway. Please do not let your pets pee/poo on the flower gardens or vegetable gardens. There are multiple veggie, herb and flower gardens on the property with tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, asparagus, beets, mustard greens, basil, rosemary, parsley, thyme, chives, oregano and sage growing throughout the summer/early fall. Please help yourself to some flowers or veggies during your stay. Please do not let your pet walk in the gardens. Guests are not permitted to use the shed or basement. Please contact the hosts the day you arrive to go over the check-in instructions. The hosts will be available via phone or text message throughout the guests' stay. During the four hot summer months, we will be watering, pruning, mulching and harvesting in the flowedr and vegetable gardens from 2:30 PM until 6:30 PM midweek only. Please note that we will not need access to the inside of the house at any point in time. However, we will be tending to the gardens in the front yard and the backyard during this time. (Monday through Fridays only, not weekends). If it rains enough to water the gardens, we do not come every day and try to give our guests as much privacy as possible. In our home, we take extensive measures to make sure everything is not only squeaky clean, but also sanitized to eliminate the spread of bacteria and viruses. Before your stay at our home, it is held vacant for a minimum of 24 hours and ventilated with fresh air. This means that all the windows and glass sliders are left open. Yes, really. We believe that this is the single most important measure we can take to promote your safety, health and wellness after cleaning and sanitizing. Here is the protocol we use to clean your space: 1. Each horizontal surface has been wiped to remove dirt, grease, dust, and germs including hard surfaces like countertops, tables, sinks, cabinet handles, cabinet faces and floors. 4. Frequently touched surfaces in the space such as doorknobs, remote controls, toilet seats and light switches have been sanitized with disinfectant spray. 5. Cleaning supplies such as disposable paper towels, hand sanitizer (if available), multi-purpose spray, disinfectant spray and extra hand soap are made available for guests (we provide extra cleaning supplies for you, so you can clean as you stay). 6. We use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies 7. We clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists so as to clean everything every time we clean. 8. We comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines. There is no street parking available. Our home is about 1.3 miles from the two supermarkets/restaurants in town. Taxi services and Uber are available for guests who do not want to drive into town. Cable TV is accessible in the living room and a Roku TV is available in the master bedroom. There is no cable TV in the two small bedrooms. There is a TV in each bedroom for Netflix or gaming.
