The landscaping and parcel of land is beautiful and gives you a little room to explore while at the house. There are two hot tubs which allows for variation (I found one was nice for the mornings and one was nice for the evenings).” -Recent Review -OUTDOOR SPACE- The larger suite offers a fabulous private patio with a propane barbecue and outdoor furniture — including a unique outdoor bed suspended on chains from overhead beams. It’s the perfect spot for a shaded afternoon nap! From the smaller suite, you can step out through the sliding glass door to a separate private patio that features a hot tub and comfortable outdoor seating, including another “swing” bed. From the larger suite, a brand new RenuTherapy pool, cold water immersion therapy tub offers a refreshing soak or an invigorating plunge. The property is surrounded by a landscape of native vegetation, including numerous Joshua trees. Enjoy the magical vistas of the towering, rocky mountains rising up dramatically nearby in the park. Sit quietly outside and watch for desert birds — maybe a roadrunner will make an appearance! -ESSENTIALS- Parking is available for two vehicles in the driveway The Desert Hideaway includes WiFi, heating, and air conditioning. -ACTIVITIES/ATTRACTIONS- Visitors come to the High Desert for its unique landscape, culture, and recreational opportunities, as well as for the weather - hot and dry summers and mild winters at our high altitude. Joshua Tree and the communities surrounding the Joshua Tree National Park include Flamingo Heights, Pioneertown, Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, and Landers. You’ll be close to all the action at The Desert Hideaway. Some of our favorite options available to you: –Joshua Tree National Park: 800,000 acres of mystical beauty - Joshua Tree National Park is one of the world’s most incredible natural desert treasures. Sweeping, grand in scale and populated by granite monoliths and voluptuous rock and boulder formations. This quiet land, conducive to meditation and roaming, was carved by extremes in climate - wind, rain and an ever-present, relentless sun. Diverse forms of plant life are found everywhere, but none as unique or prevalent as the park’s namesake: the Joshua tree, standing majestically across the vast topography. –Pioneertown: Step back in time to thus rustic Old West-style village. Wander through the historic buildings, visit unique shops, catch a live music performance at Pappy & Harriets, and experience the Wild West charm. • The Integratron: New age-y healing destination with a sound bath, originally designed by ufologist George Van Tassel with the goal of reversing the aging process. Everything at your fingertips and more, when you book with us today! ** Cleaning Protocols *** As the only professional management company in the area, we have always maintained exceptional cleaning standards. We pay above the living wage standards; 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to the cleaners (i.e. no profit to us) and we insist on a professional level of cleaning between guests. We love the High Desert for a lot of reasons - including the open spaces, lack of crowds, and dry weather that we believe make it a safe place to visit. You will have the entire house and property to yourself. Our property manager, Homestead Modern, is local and has staff available at all times. Monument Manor is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the Joshua Tree area given its immediate proximity to the park and breathtaking vistas of the area’s signature Craggy Mountains and desert plants. When you’re ready for some outdoor adventure, Joshua Tree National Park’s West Entrance is just 2 minutes away by car. Searching for great eats, drinks, shops, and things to do? Here are a few recommendations in Joshua Tree Village, a 5-minute drive away: • Start your day at Joshua Tree Coffee Co., known for their famed coffee made from locally roasted beans • Marvel at the handiwork at the World Famous Crochet Museum • Pick up some lunch or a souvenir from the Joshua Tree Certified Farmers' Market, open Saturdays • Find your next favorite read at Space Cowboy Books • Perhaps close your day with the food, drinks and music offered at the rustic Joshua Tree Saloon Up for a day trip? Don’t miss these area highlights - they’re worth the drive. • Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum (15-minute drive) - As far from a stuffy gallery as you can imagine, this outdoor sculpture garden contains a unique collection of folk-art. • Pioneertown (20-minute drive) - Put on your ten-gallon hat and stroll down Mane Street of this Wild West-inspired town, also known for Pappy & Harriet’s, a notable restaurant and venue. • The Integratron (25-minute drive) - New age-y healing destination with a sound bath, originally designed by ufologist George Van Tassel with the goal of reversing the aging process. • Palm Springs (45-minute drive) - Artsy town known for vintage shopping, art galleries, and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. • Mt. San Jacinto State Park (90-minute drive) - Expansive, hilly landscape with foot and horseback trails surrounding 10,834-foot Mount San Jacinto. Of course, let’s not forget about the essentials. Everything you need is within close driving distance: • Closest supermarket: Vons (13-minute drive) • Closest liquor store: Mike's Liquor (6-minute drive) • Closest pharmacy: Star Pharmacy (7-minute drive) • Closest bank: U.S. Bank (13-minute drive) • Closest gas station: 76 (6-minute drive) Many roads in the High Desert are dirt, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive car is not, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain. • EVENTS & COMMERCIAL PHOTOSHOOTS: Are not permitted without prior approval, applicable permit and additional fees. • DOGS: Your dog is welcome and there is a one time fee of $100. Please alert us in advance. Max of 2 dogs. No other types of animals are authorized. • SOCIAL MEDIA: If you plan on sharing your experience on social media, please mention us! • CELL SERVICE: Cell phone service availability and quality in the high desert varies by service provider. This is particularly true in the more remote areas of Joshua Tree, Pipes Canyon, and Pioneertown. Please be prepared by enabling wifi calling or downloading a VOIP program. • ROAD CONDITIONS: Many roads are dirt, so please take it slow. A four wheel drive car is not required, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain • CO-HOSTED BY HOMESTEAD MODERN
