Tucked away between two valleys and close to a dried riverbed you will find our rebuilt Sink Shack, a rustic self-catering hideout, perfect for the nature lover seeking that true out-in-the-wild experience. The space The Sink Shack offers a truly South African experience, set in a tranquil and peaceful environment, surrounded by rolling fynbos covered hills and the impossibly peaceful sounds of nature, sets the scene for this secluded getaway. Besides the boasting panoramic view of indigenous fynbos while enjoying your cup of coffee on the stoep, the shack also offers an outdoor fire-pit ideal for creating special memories with family and friends while your small ones explore some more. The sink shack is an open plan living, dining and bedroom area, sleeping 6 guests. It has a fully equipped self-catering kitchen and with an indoor fireplace centrally positioned in the lounge area overlooking the stoep and surrounding views you will be left warm and cosy. Due to the location of the shack, there is no electricity and warm water, but to create that rustic atmosphere, an outdoor toilet and pully-system shower has been fitted to a “donkie” to get you heated up during the cold winter nights. Other things to note We recommend visiting with a high clearance vehicle, but not a must. As the Sink Shack is tugged away between mountains, there is no electricity and mobile signal. Also, we will leave one complimentary bag of wood for you, additional bags can be purchased for R20 a bag (we will leave a few at the shack. Please take note, although we have preventative measures in place, sometimes you may still be visited by some of the local critters which may include spiders, mice,etc as you are located in the wild.
