Welcome to Desert Bamboo! Pets are welcome to stay! We charge a flat fee of $50 if you are bringing pets. BLM Land is just down the street! Sitting on 5 acres of wild desert land, this place is a great opportunity for those wishing to get away from the world and explore the abnormally amazing desert nature! Open floor plan includes 800 sq ft plus the loft space which adds 320 sq ft x 4-1/2 ft tall. Pets are welcome to stay! We charge a flat fee of $50 if you are bringing pets. We ask that you clean up after your pet and follow our 'no pets on furniture' rule. Let me know if you are bringing yours! Check in: 3:00 PM Check out: 10:00 AM General Info: - WiFi: Instructions are in a blue binder in the kitchen. - All basic cookware and utensils (pots, pans, dishes, etc.) are provided. - Coffee and filters are also provided for the coffee maker. Help yourself to any food or drinks you see! - Books and board games provided. Shed attached to the house: - Washer and dryer location. - Plant based laundry detergent we provide! - Clothes line outside near the driveway entrance where you can hang your clothes to dry with the provided clothespins. The house sits atop a ridge and our workshop is below. Feel free to poke around but please leave things as they are! Outdoor Accessories: - Night-time stargazing! - The charcoal grill. Bring your own charcoal to fire up the grill! - Outdoor seating. - Fire Circle! Feel free to have a small fire in this designated area only. You must supply your own wood. Total of 4 beds (King, Queen, Twin x2) and has 1 fold down couch. As shown in pictures sleeping arrangements: Bedroom 1: King bed, closet with hangers Bedroom 2: Queen bed, closet with hangers Loft space: Two Twin beds • Loft space provides an additional two twin beds. It can get a little warmer up here during the summer so we provide a fan on top of the grate for circulation. Turn on A/C in the room below and turn on fan in the loft to get that cool air flowing! All water is gray water, except for the toilet, which means that the trees outside only like biologically-friendly soap! You are welcome to use the soaps we leave out for your convenience. • Please bag both trash and recycling. Help us keep the desert clean! The dumpster is located near the driveway entrance. Remember, this is the desert. If you leave any doors open without screens, there will be bugs that come in to stay with you! Please be mindful. (There is a screen for the front door since that is where most of the in and out traffic happens. • Please mind the volume of the music that you may play outside. Smoking is only permitted outside. Giant Rock can be seen from the house if you look really hard! The mountain you can see up close and personal is Goat Mountain (3 mile round trip hike). Take a sound bath at the Integratron, only 3 minutes away! The Landers Brewery is a short 2 mile drive and world-famous Joshua Tree National Park is about a 25 minute drive.
