Bambua nature cottages and hostel is run by our Philipino family. We live in harmony with nature within the rainforest. Our style of living is natural and peaceful, away from the busy and commercial touristic places. Our guests enjoy the real, original Philipino life in our small paradise and the beautiful nature in and around Sabang. All the facilities at Bambua are located in an extensive garden landscape, surrounded by the amazing St. Paul Mountain Chain, by farmland and jungle. Most visitors come to Sabang to see the underground river but we strongly believe there is so much more to see and explore in the area. Everybody coming to Bambua can enjoy a relaxed, peaceful time away from all the overwhelming touristic stress and still be quite close to all of these attractions. We have the perfect spot to become One with nature and observe the wildlife of the jungle, such as different kinds of birds, colourful butterflies and dragonflies. Guest access You can hang out in our huge garden :) During your stay We have an extensive knowledge of the Sabang surrounding area, and have been living here for the past 30 years. We love to share the stories and beauty of Sabang, the original Philipino life and the local food, jungle surviving techniques, local craft and art. We can however give each guest the space they need and adapt to this. Other things to note If you are interested in the local culture we also offer affordable and personalized tours where we share our knowledge and passion about this extraordinary place and its local people (please inquire upon arrival). We pride ourselves for being an alternative to the norm and try to distance ourselves from the commercial "regular" tours. You can tailor make your tours depending on your interests and visit what most tourists never get to see, eg: local blacksmith, birdwatching, fishing, craftsmaking and many more.
