Magnolia Villa ,Beachfront Villa -Matemwe Zanzibar

Our compound is located right on the beach with a 4 bedroomed villa at the front and a separate 1 bedroom villa at the back which is rented separately . Our views are world class, postcard perfect with views of the Indian Ocean and the  coral reef around the Mnemba Island.The beach is very safe day and night . There are several Boutique hotels with bars and restaurants within walking distance of the villa. The villa has a lovely homely feel and the place is ideal for couples or families. The space This a comfortable 4 bedroom family villa with large grounds, several verandas and beautiful gardens . Accomodation comprises of •Bedroom 1 : spacious double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and sea views. Bedroom 2: spacious double bedrooms, with en-suite and a connecting living room with sea view and terrace . Bedroom 3 : third bedroom is double room only with sea view. Bedroom 4: single bedroom with access to Bedroom 1 en-suite . • 1 family bathroom • 1 spacious open plan dining / living / kitchen area • All Bathrooms include shower, flush toilet, hand wash basin, towels and soap • Private balconies / veranda in 3rd bedroom • Mosquito nets • Private access to the beach * Private swimming pool • 2 off Lookout verandah overlooking the beach and the Indian Ocean • Outdoor barbecue area There is a separate 5th bedroom which is only accessible through an outside staircase. We sometimes use this space personally if we are in Zanzibar. This is closed off but can be included in the rental , if required we can provide additional rates for this . For those looking for a bit more action this  is a spectacular place for diving and snorkelling, canoeing, surfing and reef walks. The beach  also boasts dive centres  and kite surfing schools  within walking distance of the villa. Guest access 1. If children are sharing parents room we have 2 single beds that can be located to the room. 2. As we have another property on site this one may be rented out at the same time as you have rented the main house. We have separate areas shown on pictures where main house has access to main garden areas. The back house will have access to a separate garden area at the back of the compound and will have shared access to path to beach. 3. The 5th bedroom is a separate space which has its own access and not accessible through the main villa . The owners occasionally use this space for personal use . Guests can request this space if additional rooms are required . Other things to note 1. staffing - Security gaurd at night on Compound . Our own staff clean outside / tend to garden and swimming pool on site during day . NB - We only offer cleaning service at extra cost ( not kitchen duties) subject to availability , please enquire and we will provide details. We don’t offer any chef /cooking service but can recommend a local experience to have local cooked food . 2. Driver / tour guide can be recommended people we have had a good experience with. , please enquire. 3. Outdoor professional stainless steel gas barbeque (gas included). Please note the staff can switch gas on for you we have some issue with getting replacement knobs as current ones are broken also. 4. HD TV in living room, with cable channels and sport channels and TV in  the bedroom 2 with movies on hard disc. 5. Books and games available. 6. Easy walking distance of several bars, restaurants and local grocery shops. 7. Show the love ❤️ when on holiday in places like Zanzibar. Zanzibar is a developing country with old and fragile infrastructure, and there are scheduled and unplanned interruptions to utility services by government which are out of our control . It is a small island, so responses to issues regarding utilities or other services are not available 24 hours a day, and may take more than a day to resolve. So guests are required to conserve energy and resources during periods when backup resources ( our generator ) are in use to provide lighting / water , refrigerator . We will request AC to be switched off and water heaters when the generator is onn. There are emergency water tanks that we can utilise but again we request that saving water is considered if shortages are reported. 8. We have dogs in the compound and request if you are not comfortable with them let us know in advance. The dogs are very friendly but are not allowed in the house. They do keep a watchful eye out to ensure no one trespasses on the property. 9. Air-conditioning provided in all rooms. Please do not leave on unnecessary and switch of when leaving the rooms and going out . We do not charge for excess usage but rely on our guests to be fair . 10. We understand guests may need early or late checkin but any changes in plans should be notified at least 48 hours before checkin as we have staff who don’t have mobile phones and are not always contactable out of hours. 11. If you are coming to Zanzibar rethink your stays at the big destinations for quieter locations like Matemwe. Places like Paje and Nungwi are very busy commercial area with lots of Hotels, Bars and Restaurants with a busy night life, Matemwe on the other hand is your typical Island getaway with nice Bars and eating places on the Beach and magnificent views of Mnemba atoll which has some of the best diving and Snorkelling in the world. How can you not want this view. 12. Please note our pricing is based on number of guests . Nightly rates are set for 2 persons and each additional guest will incur an extra charge per guest which is typically $50 per extra guest per night. Please ensure correct numbers are included in your booking .
