It’s just over a mile from Mihintale’s ancient temple and only 15 minutes driving distance from the Sacred City of Anuradhapura, but in total tranquility, far away from the crowds and traffic noises. Set in a 0.75 acres garden, the villa is a mix of traditional charm and modern comforts. The villa was designed by my brother Rohan Gajanayaka, a special feature is a naturally ventilated veranda, allowing all rooms to benefit from fresh air breezes and from sunrise untill sun goes down no need to switched on any light at any rooms. Because all the rooms,living room and veranda get natural light from sun. So day time i do not pay any cent for electric power. So i should thanks lot to my brother. So you get learn about our culture been with two diffarent families. As well as there is a low cost. We have not any servents, clean, cook, driving, guiding and other sevises are doing by our self. Guest access All four bedrooms with lockable doors have own attached bathrooms and are equipped with super king size double beds, ceiling fan, air-condition. Wheelchair access is possible to every corner of the villa. All doors are double and the carport is linked to the main house. The garden attracts a variety of colourful birds and sometimes monkeys.And my guest can use every corrner of the house and garden. During your stay My family-run guesthouse and personal driving and guiding service will guarantee a private atmosphere and Sri Lankan hospitality, travelling according to your own wishes and preferences, without risks of tourist traps. My expertise will help you to visit all well-known places of interest and can show you many sites untouched by mass tourism, too Other things to note This is a family run guest house. At my place you can really connect to people and experience the local life. While staying with us you can learn to cook Sri Lankan food and cook alone after an introduction or after taking part in a cooking class. So you learn it on the first day and on the 2nd day you can do it for others. My mother will be available to help you, though unfortunately she does not speak English (nor other foreign languages), but as her son, I can assure she will find a way to communicate with you. Occasionally my sister can translate or assist.
