La Factoría is two hours from the International Airport in Guayaquil. It is two minutes off the Ruta del Sol (Coast Highway) and 15 minutes south of Montañita (Surfing Capitol of Ecuador). The valley it lies in is extremely fertile and provides excellent growth for all of the following crops; coffee, cocoa, tobacco, bananas, corn, watermelon, onions, peppers, tomatoes and a plethora of tropical fruits. Within just one kilometer of this land is a working finca that provides honey, milk, cheese, yogurt, open range eggs (delicious), bread, jellies, meat, chicken and more. There is also a medical center just minutes from the parcel. La Factoría is a center for the development of contemporary craft and design, and also offers eco-training programs.
