Bakkakot 1 is the largest of our cabins in the woods, with beautiful views of the ocean and mountains. A relaxing retreat in the Icelandic countryside with TV, DVD, well equipped kitchen, shower room, WiFi, games and books, and a shared grill (summer) and hot tub area. We are located 20km from Akureyri, so this cabin is the perfect location for those seeking peace and quiet, nature, northern lights or just a great base on the Arctic Coastway. The space The cabin is located in our private woodland with views of the ocean and mountains. The kitchen is well equipped with all you need, fridge, oven with hob, toaster, kettle, pots and pans, all cooking equipment and tea and coffee. The living area has a tv, DVD and CD player, books, games and coffee table. The bedroom has a double bed and a large wardrobe. Bathroom includes toilet, shower, sink and storage. The cabin is heated throughout with geothermal energy. Wifi is available. There is decking around the cabin with outdoor seating providing views of the ocean, mountains and woodland. Guests are welcome to walk through the woodland and enjoy the picnic area with grill (summer) and shared hot tub. Guest access The cabin is situated in our large wooded garden that guests are free to enjoy. Private parking is on our driveway close to the cabin. The woodland is available to explore. Other things to note During winter months there can be a lot of snow around the cabins but we keep the path to the cabin clear as best we can. We own a friendly Labrador named Bósi.
