Enjoy a private bedroom & bathroom in an older home. You are welcome to the seating on the front porch & the living room too, but those are shared spaces. From our home, enjoy a great view and we are close to downtown with coffee shops, shopping & restaurants that are walkable. In "your" room, find a 'comfy' queen bed, desk space, chair, lamps, a water kettle, microwave, a mini. fridge & dishes. You might get a chance to pet the doggers too. Sorry, the main kitchen is screened OFF. Beautifully decorated and seasonally decorated as well. It is a welcoming and clean room and bathroom too. We do not live in the guest bedroom nor use the guest bathroom. They are set up for guests only. The living room is "shared space." We do have decor in the room to make it nice and inviting for guests though. It is a nice space for guests to come and relax and enjoy, but we do ask you to adhere to our "House Rules." It is our home, after all. This space is not suitable for kids under 5. Please do not book with us if your child is 4 years old or younger, please. Sorry, we are not set up for little kids. We have a strict, two persons maximum, please. Thanks on that. Also, check in is between 3.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m. (Nine p.m. in the summer.) It is best to get to our place in the daylight if possible or use your light on your phone. Self-check in is available with keyless entry. We will give you the pass code on the day of arrival. We look forward to having you join us as our guests. The main area with the living room is 'shared spaces.' Self-check in without any "face-to-face" is available. And available to guests also is the front porch or lawn area. Sorry, but the main kitchen and dining room are unavailable. The downstairs is private also. In the bedroom is a 'miniature kitchen' that is equipped with a hot water kettle, a microwave, dishes and a mini. refrigerator. That is your private space as well as the bathroom is private. The living room is lovely and for you to use. We ask you to read and follow our House Rules. We thank you in advance. If I am in town, I am available in person. I am nearly always available during the day for a call or a text too unless I am teaching children or working with a horse or other animal. There are lots of areas to walk in neighborhoods or along the river. We are close to downtown, museums, restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, parks, nice & paved 6-mile river walk, etc. It is a nice place to visit. We have plenty of street parking on a quiet street. We are within walking distance to the library and the downtown area. No public transportation needed. Hi. We will give you the door code and entrance instructions on the day of arrival. You can check in any time after 3:00 p.m. and check out is at 10:00 a.m. please. By the way...we have two small dogs. The home is very clean, but a dog hair could be floating around. We will keep the dogs behind a screen and they are super good boys, so you won't hear them or see them in the house. You may encounter them outside though. Thanks.
