Cottage in Charlotteville

Our quiet little upstate cottage is truly our peaceful place! We use it for hiking, biking,yoga ,and just being! We have a river across the street that is the perfect place to sit and enjoy the sounds of the water, you can fish, find a swimming hole to swim and go back and work in the cottage all in the same afternoon thanks to our new fiber optic Wi-Fi. Fire pit nights and grilling lunch makes this place our favorite quiet spot on earth. The space Our sweet Quiet cottage is just what we need when we need to get away from it all. Our family fills it when we do not have airbnb guests. We never had WiFi or tv, but we do Now! We now have fiber optics and the WiFi works great. Cell service is still a bit iffy depending on your server, but I use WiFi calling and it works great. There is a river across the street over a meadow so you can literally watch the time go by! We have a fire pit right next to the house ,watch the stars all night and if you are lucky enough to have fireflies it is a light show some nights. BBQ on our very small deck or sit in the the picture window , I call it the coffee window, best view in the morning. I wake up first make a pot of coffee and some morning I am greeted by two Eagles , a wood chuck or two and a few deer passing by! We are inbetween two farms. We have lots of farm stands in season and local meat ,eggs, milk and special cheese. I can give you all that info when you get here. each season they change. We are 25 minutes from Oneonta, 25 minutes from Cooperstown and 25 minutes from Cobleskill, close to summit ,Jefferson,Worcester, lots of Distileries,Breweries, at least 4 museums, Howles Cavers and secret caves, amazing hiking , everyday But the private creek side chairs are where you will find us ! If you like to nap all day and read ,watch birds and wildflowers this is the place for you. If you need to go do things everyday that fill you time and energy with new adventure,this is also your place to retreat after a busy day. The house has a little bit of everything you need to cook , and share a meal. even on rainy days or snowy afternoons the window has the best seat to curl up and stay inside but feel like you. This year our WiFi is new so we now can use it for just about anyone. Feel free to reach out and ask any questions you might have. We have had it closed for a year just for family. This year it will be back on Airbnb for everyone to enjoy. 25 minutes to Cooperstown ( one private parking space in Cooperstown village for the duration of your stay) ask me! 25 minutes to Dreams park 25 minutes to Cooperstown Field of dreams 15 minutes to Seven Ponds 25 minutes to Oneonta 25 minutes to Cobleskill minutes to creek…………. Guest access You have the the house to yourself. There are three bedrooms one of them has a queen size bed, and two twins, one has a full bed, the downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed. If you are coming to do nothing or just a place to crash at night it’s the perfect place. We are close to the seven ponds. If you’re coming for a wedding we are in between distilleries and breweries. If you’re coming for a bike tour or want to hike on your own, we are close to state parks and we have over 100 acres of private land you are Welcome to hike on. If you’re interested in Antiquing we can find a map for you for that as well. If you’d like, quiet, picnics by the water or a field to play frisbee golf. we have you covered. Other things to note If you are coming from baseball we are 25 minutes from Cooperstown, Village which has the baseball Hall of Fame about 27 minutes to Cooperstown Dreams Park. 27 minutes from Cooperstown field of dreams which is closer to Oneonta 20 minutes to Oneonta if you’re coming for college for 20 minutes about 25 minutes to Cobleskill an hour from Albany. We’re coming for museums Fenimore art museum in Cooperstown, farmers museum in Cooperstown baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, the Jager Museum in Oneonta. The Glimmerglass opera music festival is about 30 minutes away maybe a little longer with traffic turning up a time. In abundance of breweries and distilleries, one actually lives 5 miles away distillery trail starts close by. Plenty state parks and hiking facilities in the area. Breweries brewery, Cooperstown distillery If you’re coming for weddings, the Otesaga about 30 minutes away 7 pounds is about 10 minutes away. We’re close to Jefferson and Summit.
