Guest access You will enjoy exclusive access to the entire Bunkhouse. You're welcome to stroll around the property and observe the animals. Occasionally, some sections of the farm might be restricted because of private functions taking place in those specific areas. The estate is encircled by Bluebird Meadow, a section of the Lake County Forest Preserve, which is open for hiking from dusk until dawn—while there aren’t any designated paths, wandering through is still an enjoyable experience. An outdoor fire pit is available for roasting marshmallows and savoring the pleasant evenings. Other things to note This is a real, working equestrian and event farm — full of life and character! You’ll likely hear our roosters crowing from dawn to dusk and our friendly donkey chiming in from time to time. Mornings start early here as we feed and care for the animals, and you may occasionally hear the tractor at work around the property as we go about our daily farm tasks.
