Eden Heights is an off-grid homestead on the edge of the rainforest in eastern Dominica countryside. A remote, peaceful guesthouse and eco-wellness retreat space. Guests enjoy rejuvenation of health, immersion in nature, and experience self-sufficient living with stunning ocean and mountain views. We cater to travellers who enjoy organic local food & filtered spring water, and who wish to detox from the modern world and retreat to a simpler life immersed in beautifully lush nature. The space Cabana Coulibri is the perfect location for a romantic getaway or nature-lover's adventure. Set on the outskirts of the Central Rainforest Reserve, you cannot help but relax to the sounds of parrots flying above, the hum of hummingbirds and the gentle crashing of distant ocean waves, as you breathe in the cool sea air, bask in the glorious sunshine and savour the wonderful scents of flowers and herbs. Climb the secret garden staircase up to the porch to enjoy stunning views of the bay at Castle Bruce beach. Inside contains a bed, table and solar light, whilst the bathroom has a shower, toilet, basin and towel rails. Out on the porch, a kitchen area includes a large sink, gas stove, shelf space, cookware, food storage containers and dining area. The water is sourced from a natural spring further up the mountain. This water is drinkable and feeds the sink and shower (which currently only has 1 temperature). Electricity is limited to energy efficient lights and 12v charging powered by solar panels on the roof. Other electronic items can be charged in my house. Guest access Guests have access to the organic gardens and orchard, the bathing pools in the river bordering the property and children's play area. Guests will also have access to the patio outside of my house, where requested meals will be served. Electronic items can be charged at my house and wifi can also be accessed here via a mobile hotspot from my phone should you need to check emails etc. Other things to note If you would like to see some reviews from previous guests of our other accommodation, please look for the 'Kalinago Hut at Eden Heights' page, which can be found via my host page. Rainy season is officially June-November but we can get occasional heavy showers at any time of the year. Please bring waterproof clothing and waterproof casing for your cameras, phones and other valuables. Just to reiterate - we are a 20-25 minute walk uphill from the main road so it is wise to hire a vehicle if you do not want to make the walk.
