Sugar Loaf on the Great River, a family owned and operated thirteen acre property is in the final stage of becoming a totally ECO-GREEN tourist facility. Come and enjoy river & trail exploration, bird watching, fishing, leisurely rafting on the river on a bamboo raft with a soft stone massage, kayaking, zip lining in the mountain forest, plantation tours and horseback riding. The space 30% of our food such as tropical fruits and vegetables is produced organically on the property. A natural mountain spring provides our water. 100% of our electrical power is produced from the sun. Go to sleep each night to the sound of the river and awake in the morning to the mist gently rising from the river! Guest access The property is gated and completely fenced. A full time staff is always on the property. Property animals include “Marley” our donkey, cattle, goats and dogs. Soon to come, we plan to add rabbits and chickens. Please understand that, as a very remote private mountain rain forest property, we cannot guarantee you Wi-Fi internet but do have phone connectivity and can guarantee peaceful tranquility. The Cabin includes a queen canopy bed, double sofa bed, mini-fridge, coffee maker, safe, private bath & shower and a spacious private balcony with fire pit, all overlooking the river. Go to sleep each night to the sound of the river and awake in the morning to the mist gently rising from the river! Other things to note Authentic Jamaican breakfast and dinner service is available on request and is prepared on our outside kitchen wood burning stove. Free pick-up from Sangster Intl. Airport is provided. We are pleased to arrange other services for your enjoyment such as island day tours with a private driver to Ocho Rios, Negril, Falmouth, Blue Mountain, Port Antonio and Kingston. Enjoy the fine dining and shopping within Montego Bay. We can reserve your own rental car.
