Enchanted River cabin with private garden and kitchen

Description

☆ Jungle Hut ☆ Just a 130m away from the Enchanted River and within walking distance from the famous CambugahayFalls, our cabin offers a naturally-built bamboo retreat for those looking for something a little unique. With your own private garden & outdoor tub, the cabin provides a space to enjoy the surrounding location while offering convenient proximity to some of the island's most beautiful attractions & some of Siquijors' best kept secrets. Please refer to Guest Access. The space WiFi ✔ Private landscape garden ✔ Hot water outdoor bath tub✔ Fire/BBQ Pit ✔ Indoor cooking facilities ✔ Refrigerator ✔ King size bed ✔ Hammock and garden lounging areas ✔ Indoor/outdoor jungle shower✔ Neighboring Enchanted river ✔ Recycling facilities ✔ NOTE: The cabin is in a small valley and has a short down hill walk to reach the entrance. For most people this wont be an issue but we would like to mention just in case somebody is physically unfit or elderly. A Note on the Neighborhood Vibe: To ensure absolute transparency for your stay, please note that our hut is nestled within an authentic, lively local community. Our neighbors occasionally enjoy daytime celebrations, including traditional karaoke music, during legally permitted hours (8:00 AM to 10:00 PM). While the jungle is completely peaceful, quiet, and serene at night for a restful sleep, this daytime music can carry over to the property. If you plan to relax at the hut during the day and are sensitive to sound, we highly recommend bringing along your favorite headphones, or using those hours to explore the beautiful falls and beaches nearby! This is a provincial location so you can expect some tokos or gekos all over the island including our location too. But they're totally harmless so don't panic. (You may call them Barry 😊). It's something you should expect when visiting the more rural areas of the Philippines. Part of the authentic charm of island living is adapting to its natural rhythm, which includes occasional brownouts. These temporary voltage drops are quite common on localized coastal grids, but they rarely last longer. To keep your stay comfortable, we provide emergency lights to keep your space bright until full power returns. Think of it as nature's gentle invitation to unplug, look up at the stars, and truly relax. Guest access The cabins are nestled within the natural surroundings of Jungle Hut, offering a peaceful and secluded experience. Guests can park at our dedicated parking area, where our local guide, Ian, will meet you and show you the way to your cabin. The cabins are not directly accessible by vehicle, so there is a walk from the parking area along a natural trail with some uneven ground and uphill sections. We recommend comfortable walking shoes and luggage that is easy to carry. During rainy weather, the natural trail and surrounding ground can become wetter, so suitable footwear is especially helpful. If you are arriving with heavier or bulky luggage, please let us know in advance and Ian will assist where possible. For a smooth arrival, please contact us and Ian before you arrive, advance communication allows him to arrange to meet you when you arrive. The natural walk to the cabin is part of the experience and helps keep the cabins tucked away and immersed in nature. A true jungle setting: As our cabins are surrounded by nature, you may naturally encounter mosquitoes, insects and other small creatures, particularly around the outdoor areas and during certain times of the day or year. This is a natural part of staying in a tropical jungle environment, and the presence of insects can vary depending on weather and season. We recommend bringing your preferred mosquito repellent and clothing that provides some coverage, particularly if you plan to spend time outdoors or in the evenings. Our cabins are designed for guests who enjoy being immersed in nature, so we encourage you to come prepared and embrace the unique jungle experience. Other things to note As Jungle Hut is nestled in a natural jungle environment, you may occasionally encounter mosquitoes, ants, gnats and other native insects, particularly during rainy weather and around outdoor areas. Their presence can vary depending on the season and weather, and is a natural part of staying in the jungle. Most are harmless, but if you have sensitivities or allergies to insects, we recommend keeping this in mind when booking and bringing any personal repellent or other essentials you may need. It’s a genuine jungle setting — come prepared, embrace nature and enjoy the experience!
