Recently remodeled and very comfortable ground level space with a cozy wood stove and mountain views! Just a short walk from downtown Berlin which is home to several restaurants, as well as a grocery store, hardware store, and various specialty shops. World class hiking, biking, climbing, paddling, and ATVing are all just minutes away. This space is perfect for longer stays, students, and people traveling for work. Close to hospital and community college. Located in a nice friendly neighborhood just a couple blocks from the north end of downtown Berlin, NH. The house has off street parking for 2 cars and a large front porch entryway. The bedroom has a comfy full-size bed and a balcony porch overlooking the backyard with a great view of Mt. Forest. Recently remodeled 3/4 bath has a tiled floor and shower. The large kitchen has an electric range, microwave, toaster oven, large fridge/freezer, and some other handy appliances like a blender and a Cuisinart, as well as all the dishes and cookware you might expect. The living room has a comfy futon couch (with extra sheets and blankets for use as guest bed), wood stove, and a dining table and chairs. An efficient new heat pump provides year round heating and cooling. Hot water is provided by electric mini-tank heaters at the point of use and is somewhat limited (sorry, if you require long hot showers, this house is not for you). Guests will have access to one floor of a larger house. The other floor of the house is unfinished/slated for future remodel and is currently off limits. I won't be available in person, but can always be reached by phone to address any issues. At first glance, Berlin might seem a little rough around the edges, but it is really a fantastic community with lots of opportunity for engagement. Check out the local papers for a plethora of year-round events and activities! The next-door neighbors are very friendly and a great source for local information. Please say hi to them! There is both on and off street parking options in front of the house. Not much in the way of public transportation in northern NH, but there is a daily bus to Boston (and beyond!) that leaves from the south end of town. It is also worth noting that ATVs/off-road vehicles can legally be driven throughout the town. Bookings with pets will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
