Getting Around & Transportation Getting to the Island: Guests are picked up from Hopkins mainland and transported via a short, scenic boat ride across the Freshwater Creek Lagoon to Palmento Grove Island. The ride takes about 5–10 minutes and sets the tone for a truly immersive island experience. On the Island: The island is pedestrian-friendly — you can easily walk between lodges, cultural spaces, and relaxation areas. Kayaks are available for exploring the lagoon and surrounding mangroves at your leisure. Guided tours and cultural experiences (drumming, cooking, herbal medicine) are arranged on-site with the hosts. Nearby Hopkins Village: For local shopping, restaurants, or additional excursions, guests can easily return to the mainland via the boat service.
