Than you! x An Elegant Coastal family home overlooking the Indian Ocean The Private House - has three bedrooms ensuite set around a swimming pool overlooking the Indian Ocean. Access to the beach is right in front of the house. The beach is generally a haven of peace and the "cool pool" at the southern end is a safe swimming/wallow area at any stage of the tide and is a perfect pool for aspiring toddler swimmers. The rag coral caves make for great pirate exploration! If you are exploring this end of the beach, do remember to wear rubber shoes. The House is fully staffed to make your stay as comfortable as possible: The main man and your general advisor is Bakari he is also the main cook and is assisted by: Joseph Takaungu's lemon sponge cake at teatime is legendary! Gardeners look after the pools and gardens and night watchmen and KK security. Being right on the sea our diet is largely seafood. The vagaries of wind and tide determine exactly what and when we get particular types of seafood and our ethos has always been to enjoy whatever is fresh. Bakari and Joseph both have a considerable repertoire of seafood menus and recipes and please feel free to discuss your preferences with them. Private House - An overview Sleeps six Private House is the original dwelling house built many years ago by the Arab trader who originally had this little smidge of heaven as his summer beach house. The house is perched on a bluff overlooking the sea and the long white beach. The walls are thick limestone or coral rag and the sea breezes keep it cool. However, all bedrooms have standing fans. Master bedroom The master bedroom with its somewhat quaint ensuite bathroom is the original bedroom and retains much of the original beams and quirks of the house. Guest twin bedroom The twin bedroom with two generous single Arab beds has its also rather quirky ensuite bathroom and looks onto the swimming pool. Guest double bedroom The double bedroom also looks out to sea over the swimming pool and has its own adjoining bathroom. Big wooden shutters like all the other rooms look onto the veranda which surrounds the central pool.
