Casa del Mangle is a charming waterfront property with direct access to the beach. Our Casa is nestled on a lush property surrounded by trees and palms which provide shade and a nice breeze. Walk a 100 feet to the beach and you'll find the Casa's best feature which is a wonderful lounging area under big trees which provide shade and in the evenings it is a special place to enjoy the amazing sunsets. The house is built on one level, has an open-plan dining, kitchen and living area, two bedrooms, one good size bathroom and a spacious and comfortable covered veranda to relax , read, have your meals and enjoy looking out into the garden and ocean. The house provides a fully well equipped kitchen, has WIFI, and air-condition in both bedrooms, and also has a washing machine and dryer. The entire garden is yours to enjoy. In the early morning watch the birds taking their bath in the little pond. After a swim or just to refresh yourself there is a great outdoor shower in the garden. In the back of the house is another small garden with a washing line, just for you, to hang your bathing suit and your laundry if you wish. We are a Seattle, WA family and are as of August 2018 the new owners of Casa del Mangle. For the last eight years we rented this lovely home and are now thrilled to be the owners. Our house is in a quiet charming neighborhood, with friendly and helpful neighbors and there is even a small mini-grocery store 150 feet from our house. Troncones is a unique little Mexican town. Once a fishing village it now has many choices of great restaurants, shops, food markets and more. The beaches are magnificent for taking long walks (4 miles!) and offers places to swim, surf, boogie-board and fish. And if you’re a surfer you’ve got many more choices. Additional activities include paddle boarding, horseback riding, mountain biking, (recently the village has created some great bike trails which are fun to explore) hiking and bird watching and all over the town you can find yoga seminars and/or classes. Food/ shopping highlights: Every day during the winter months the fish truck run by Carmen and Ruben will be in town with super fresh seafood. Really these two nice people are essential. By mid-day they drive by our house and if you like to buy their fish, use the “fish sign” (inside the house) and in the morning hang it outside the gate so they can see it. They will call for you and you can pick your seafood _ but have cash. Also a couple of times in the week there is a vegetable truck, run by Patricio and Jonathan who supply everyone with wonderful fresh fruit, eggs and vegetables. We usually try to find the veggie truck down the street. Fresh bread you can get at the charming little restaurant “Indigo” or at “Café del Sol”. And there is always “Gaby” who runs the main little store and has lots of the essential things you may need. You can explore other small shops, gift shops with attractive things to buy including a liquor store and pharmacy. Our house is in walking distance from the village however Taxis are available and are very reliable. If you rent a car at the airport you can park your car inside the property on the driveway. Our property manager Ivan is very friendly, accessible and available if needed. Yazmin, is our lovely house cleaner, and comes twice a week around 9:00AM on Monday and Thursday and David waters all the plants and oversees the garden twice a week.
