Karamba Lodge. Relax and recharge your batteries

We have 4 hectares of land where the property is surrounded by fruit trees, The Ocean is a 20 min walk through the bush. The village is also a 20 mins stroll away. Abundant bird song everywhere. We have 5 rooms in one building available. Room 1 has its own private bathroom. Rooms 2 & 3 have a shared bathroom and private sitting room. Rooms 4 & 5 also have a shared bathroom and a big communal verandah. There is a kitchen which can be used by all. Solar lighting & charging facilities in all rooms. The space We have friendly dogs and animals on the land but not in the immediate vicinity of your lodgings. You are welcome to walk around the compound to look at the animals, enjoy the plants and bird spot. There is a fantastic roof terrace where we have practiced yoga at sunrise and sunset on our yoga retreats. This is an ideal space to take breakfast, have a stretch and to enjoy at your leisure. Guest access The main kitchen can be used by all guests. Breakfast can be provided at a minimal extra cost. All rooms have their own individual lock and key. During your stay We often travel around Senegal, but will do our utmost to be available when we have guests staying. Our property is manned, 24 hours a day with help at hand if required. Other things to note This region is well known for The Cora and Djembe. Private lessons could be arranged with prior notice for a fee. We have a lot of expereince of travelling around Senegal and will happily advise on the best routes to get you where you would like to go. There is a fantastic boat trip which runs twice a week from Zighuinchor to Dakar if you have lots of time to explore.
