The space ‘Rehema,' Swahili for 'compassion' or 'empathy' is named after our daughter. She was given the name by Matemwe villagers when she lived here during a 3-month power blackout across the whole of Zanzibar. Fun times - which we hope you will not experience! The room hosts a large, comfortable double bed, with a day bed to lounge on. It has its own ensuite bathroom with electric water heater. We don't have AC, but there is a fan and the room faces the sea. The Wifi works well in the room, and across the property. As our guests the house will also be all yours to enjoy. Guest access As our guests, you will have full access to all the houses, pool and gardens. There is direct beach access just outside your room door. During your stay As our guests at Utupoa, we invite you also to use our home as your own and, in particular, to join us for breakfast and any other meals, especially dinner at our famous table. Joyce will be around to advise you about transport and tours and anything else you might need to know about the island.
