Lake Rupanco, cabin with a beautiful view

Cozy rustic cabin located near Lake Rupanco, surrounded by native flora and fauna, 12 minutes walk and 3 minutes by car is an access to the beach. The trail "La huella" that leads to the Puntiagudo volcano is a 7-minute walk from the cabin. The cabin has an American-style kitchen/dining room, dishwasher, bathroom, two rooms and a loft used as a room, with the possibility of putting in mattresses. Guest access The beach and lake access is a shared space. It is a 12-minute walk. Other things to note Access to the La Huella trail that leads to the Puntiagudo volcano is located 5/7 minutes from the property so several people choose to stay in the cabin given the proximity to it. The climate is variable, being close to the lake produces microclimates that are sometimes different to other places nearby. In the summer season, specifically between late December and late January, there are horseflies, insects that are mainly attracted to dark-colored clothing, harmless but annoying. In the cabin there are not many but on the shore of the lake there are in large quantities. Light-coloured clothing and insect repellent are recommended. (These insects are found throughout the lake and appear in areas where there is not much human intervention.) Note that the only telecommunications company with coverage in the area is Movistar. The cabin is located in a country area, with little population, so there are no nearby businesses to stock up, except for a not-so-complete pair that are about a 15-minute drive from the cabin. We recommend supplying in the nearest cities, Entrelagos, Puerto Octay, Osorno, the latter being the largest (ease of finding more variety). We also recommend carrying cash, especially if you are a foreigner, as the few existing businesses in the area are handled with cash or transfer (no use of debit or credit cards). In summer, the JUMBO supermarket usually has deliveries in the area, subject to the times they handle, but they usually have frequent trips, which opens up another possibility to stock up if your stay is long. During the month of February, fairs are usually organized on Saturdays by local people where you can find crafts, vegetables and other types of businesses. In addition to that, we will always be available to provide all possible information and contacts. You can return home with the option of taking rich honey (harvested from our own plot), cheeses, eggs and delicious things from the area.
