The IslanDreaM (near Nairobi National Park)

From your tent, you can hear the singing of the rich variety of birds in our trees. For those escaping the crowds, The IslanDreaM offers you a relaxing and peaceful experience close to nature. We offer an ideal destination for short holidays, team-building retreats, weekend getaways, honeymoons, workshops and strategic planning meetings. The space This furnished luxury tent is available for double occupancy. This tent was built and designed with guest comfort in mind. Your luxury tent comes with one or two beds, a bathroom, a washroom, a dressing area, a small (private) lounge area, a stocked tea station, and a private balcony overlooking a private garden. We offer hot water bottles to keep you warm at night and we can open your tent windows during the day to keep you nice and cool. While at your tent, you can relax and enjoy a drink or a good book in the lounge area or on your balcony. Accommodation in our luxury tent offers you the convenient option of having meals at The Calabash - our main restaurant that is located just steps away from your tent. You can also order meals at your tent at an additional fee for room service. Our facility is easily accessible via taxi, Uber, and motorbike. Unfortunately, public transport will not get you all the way here. Should you be travelling via public transport, we advise that you alight at the Maasai Lodge junction and take a taxi, Uber, tuktuk or motorbike the rest of the way here. While our roads are accessible to saloon cars, we advise against driving too fast as sections of the road are still rough and bumpy. Our facility is perfectly placed for those who are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city to enjoy a tranquil getaway in the heart of the great outdoors. We have lots of green spaces and outdoor activities, so The IslanDreaM offers lots of appeal to outdoorsy people. However, we also offer indoor activities for those who would rather stay in and for days when the weather is uncooperative for those who enjoy being outdoors. These include movies, library access, indoor games (including card and board games, table football (foosball), pool, and darts, and indoor Zumba sessions. ON-SITE PARKING We offer free parking on site to all our guests. EXCURSIONS Given the distance from the city, if you're looking for a place where you can enjoy shopping and nightlife every day, The IslanDreaM might not be the ideal destination for you. However, we are happy to organize excursions to popular locations nearby, including Kitengela Hotglass Studio, Nani Kitengela (where our daring guests are usually thrilled to cross one of the scariest swinging bridges in the world), David Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary, the Giraffe Centre, the Nairobi National Park, Karen Blixen Museum, and Galleria Shopping Mall. We need at least 24 hours' notice to organize these trips. AIRPORT TRANSFERS With at least 48 hours' notice, we can organize airport transfers from both Wilson Airport and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Since we partner with tour operators for these airport transfers, the cost will vary based on availability. Upon your arrival, your assigned driver will be waiting for you outside your arrival terminal carrying a placard with your name on it.
