Cozy colorful room in a secure compound just a walking distance from the city center. Perfect for a short or even a bit longer stay in Mzuzu. The room comes with all the basic necessities to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. Our house is very close to town in a quiet secure neighborhood. It is secured with a brick wall. You will have your own private room in a guest house behind the main house. We have provided some basic cooking utensils in the room including kettle, hotplate and some pots, so that you can have a nice hot cup of tea or even cook yourself a proper meal. You will have your own private toilet and shower with hot water. We have provided you with a "small kitchen unit" so that you are able to cook your own meals. If there is anything you are missing from your room or would need to borrow an extra pot from us, just knock on the door of the main house and we will be there to help you. Feel free to have a walk in the garden and look at the busy lives of our local chickens. Most of the time you will find somebody at home so that we are able to help you with any issues or have a chat with a cup of coffee in the garden. We want you to feel at home so please feel free about any questions you may have. The Katoto neighbourhood is really nice and safe. It mainly has old houses which were built for government workers but have later been bought by private people. It has a great diversity of foreigners, locals, families, and business buildings. There are some small groceries around to buy basic things like bread, biscuits, soft drinks, eggs and such. We are very well located just 10 minutes walk from Mzuzu shopping mall (Shoprite), main bus station and the taxi stations. We can always help arrange for a transport if you are arriving with heavy luggage. We also have parking space for your own car inside the compound. The area is safe to walk around even after dark. We have dogs and cats. The dogs are friendly, especially the young puppy and she might visit you. Please do let us know if you don't like dogs, we will arrange them to be somewhere else during your stay, that's no problem.
