Fantastic vacation home in a gated community. Unbelievable Oceanfront on the best snorkling beach in Curacao, fully furnished., a diving facility with equipment and lessons/certification onsite and a first quality restaurant/bar. The space Hydro is included here. No extra charges as is very common. The washing machine is in the front of the unit in a locker Since the locker is outside the door must remain locked at all times when not in use. There are two showers on the first floor. One of them has a heating appliance on the wall above to heat the water. Just press the switches and the water will heat as it flows through the heater. Adjust flow of water to increase or decrease temperature. Please turn off the heater when shower is not in use. Guest access Everything with exception to a private locker in the 1st floor front room which contain owner items not needed by guests. There are many toys and floats, some snorkle equipment and assorted beach shoes on shelf above closet in orange room which have been cleaned for guests. I have purchased new beach towels you will find on side tables in the bedrooms. Other things to note The restaurant on the property has a bar attached and is excellent. The owners are very friendly and also run the diving facility and rentals. They have special Caribbean dinner everyThursday that is a really nice event. Local fisherman have a retail bench and sell fish on our beach in the mornings until about 12. The large market 'Centrum" is fully stocked with everything and is in Wilemstaad near the airport. I recommend "Centrum" for main item shopping and it is the best place to buy beer/wine and rum. (best selection and prices) Then we usually go to smaller markets locally for daily items. I will have your fridge stocked with a few welcome items for your arrival. We have an air conditioner in each of the 3 bedrooms and a large one in the main area. The window shades and curtains (top floor) and in the front (beach view) bedroom should be kept closed as a tremendous amount of light coming in there in afternoons can cause the airconditoner to overwork. It has just been replaced and will work perfectly as long as the sun is not directly shining into the room. We have two fantastic patios in the villa and plenty chairs and outside furniture including a bbq on top deck. I have installed lattice on the top terrace inside the usual railing to keep children safe from falls through the railing. Please take care on the ceramic tiles steps at the waterfront side of the villa when it is raining outside. Security: I have never been approached for money, nor has my villa been entered by thieves. I find the island extremely safe but it is always wise not to be careless. Please do not keep your passports and money in open view in your vehicle or near windows in the villa. We have keys in the bedroom doors and I recommend locking items in the locked bedrooms and just taking the keys out of the doors and keep them your on the main key ring when at the beach or out of the area during the day when multiple cleaners and workers are inside the resort. The villa neighbourhood is very secure at night and is fully gated and locked.
