Home Away From Home: Spacious 3bed house, Gambia.

Supply of electricity and water is temperamental and not constant in Gambia. -House has solar energy and water tank fitted so there is constant electricity and water. -House has air con and also has ceiling and free standing tall fans. -House is completely safe with security/caretaker on site. -House is 10 mins walk from the Beach -House has 3 upstairs balconies for own private space, and downstairs front terrace to relax. The space The property is a very clean, spacious and well equipped 3 double bedroom house, in a very well maintained compound. Guests only need to step out the main gate to flag down a taxi to any destination. The house has a downstairs living room with smart tv and a hifi set. It leads on to a dining area that seats 6 people. There is also an upstairs living room with a balcony overloooking the main road. It also has a smart tv. Upstairs has 2 ensuite bedrooms. The master bedroom with a king size bed has a front view balcony. A back bedroom with 2 single beds. Third bedroom is downstairs and has a king size bed. There is a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle, pots and pans, crockery and utensils. The house has an outside area which has a table and chairs. This area can be used to do outdoor BBQ. A charcoal BBQ set is provided but chargoal has to be bought. There are sunbeds available for relaxing at the downstairs terrace area. The compound has adequate space for parking of cars. Guest access Madiba Mall is 3 doors away from the property. The Mall has a Cafeteria where guests can have a meal. Supermarket for shopping is 10mins ride up the road at Turntable. Brufut Heights is across the road from Brufut Gardens. Its an easy walk down Brufut Heights where there are about 3 boutique hotels where people can hang out and have a drink and a meal. Sunday is family beach day in Gambia so the beach is full on Sundays. At Brufut Heights, just pass Ocean Villa and Harmony and its signposted where to get to Sarenghetti. Here you take a footbath to the beach. For those who like to do home cooking, it is about 20 mins taxi ride from the house to Tangier Fishing Village where fishermen come in daily with their fresh Catch of the Day. You can purchase fresh fish, fruit and vegetable here. Senegambia strip about 20 mins drive from the house. This is the tourist area for entertainment. There are many restaurants, bars, night clubs and hotels in this area. Serrakunda Market is about 30 mins ride away. It is about 10 minutes ride from the house to Turntable where there is Right Choice Supermarket, Kings Bakery, Today Supermarket. All selling provisions. Turntable also has money exchange bureau, a pharmacy and a good medical health clinic with medical staff. Other things to note There is a cleaner who comes to take care of cleaning the house once a week, at no extra cost. The cleaner will take care of ensuring the house is clean and bed linen changed. There is a bathroom storage cabinet with a supply of clean towels. PLEASE NOTE Electricity is very costly and is bought on a charged card. An amount of 1,000 dalasis a week electricity is provided. If guest exceed using this amount they will have to give the security money to top up the card. 1,000 dalasi a week is adequate usage for those who use it with consideration. The reason for this decision is because guests are not buying their own electricity, they tend to keep the AC on all day and night without consideration of the cost. Some guests sleep with AC on all night and do not even turn it off when going out. Hence the reason for putting a cap on the amount allowed for free.
