The San Lazaro Coffee House is located in the UNESCO World Heritage La Botija mountains near San Marcos de Colon. Our house sits in the middle of our Certified Fair Trade and organic coffee farm at about 5,000 feet above sea level. To arrive at our house you'll need a SUV or Truck. We do maintain the dirt road but a car might have problems. We can provide transportation and secure parking near the highway if needed. The space Surrounded by natural beauty of acres and acres of coffee, dense pine and oak forest. Our house is the perfect place to get away for a few days. Our home was entirely renovated in 2017 with great local rustic, yet comfortable charm. You'll enjoy the cool nights wrapped up in a blanket and you'll lose your stress hiking our many trails throughout the farm during the day. Our house is perfect for couples, families, and groups of friends or colleagues. And if you don't want to completely disconnect you'll enjoy our high speed wifi internet on top of the mountain and plenty of electricity to charge all of our devices thanks to our sustainable solar power system the runs the house. If you visit us during the months of January to March you'll enjoy seeing the coffee harvested and process right by the house. A true one of a kind experience!
